The first thing you need to know about The Middleman is that it is awesome.

The second thing you need to know is that it is the sort of thing you have to see to believe and my descriptions will not do it justice.

The characters: the Middleman, no other name given, a straight-laced, milk-drinking, clean-mouthed besuited superhero-slash-Man-in-Black (green, actually) for the modern age who keeps the world safe from and ignorant of the massive amounts of bizarre comic-book weirdness, and Wendy Watson, his recent apprentice, a sarcastic and savvy artist/temp-until-recently, who lives in an illegal sublet with her best friend Lacy, an artist and social activist who puts on increasingly bizarre displays to enforce upon the public the dangers of things like fur and sushi, and the enigmatically-named Noser, a young black guy who hangs out in the hallway playing his guitar and asking Wendy cryptic music-based questions every time she walks by. With the help of Ida, a perma-grouchy robot who looks like she could be the secretary at your middle school and takes every opportunity she gets to insult Wendy, the Middleman and his apprentice (whom he calls “Dubbyâ€
