Maxïmo Park is an English-based band which I guess is "post-punk," whatever the hell that is. I really, really like them and I was wondering if anyone else had heard about them. I saw them live last year at Pink Pop and I fell in love with them; he sounds just as amazing in real life as he does on CD, and his new haircut (the one in "Girls Who Play Guitar") makes him look a lot better than in, say, "Apply Some Pressure." Not that that's important, haha. But really, give them a listen if you haven't already.

If you haven't listened to them, but are interested, here are a few songs to get you started: "Books From Boxes" (a personal favorite), "The Coast is Always Changing," "Apply Some Pressure" (another personal favorite), and "Girls Who Play Guitar." There are, of course, others.

I've heard of them but I've never heard any of their music. I'll check out some of those songs on Youtube, and if I like them, I'll download some albums, if I ever get my Zune working again.

It was the Apply Some Pressure single. My brother's got A Certain Trigger on CD (no idea where he's put it, though - I just checked the box and it's empty), and I think I've seen another single lying somewhere around the house.

I've been a fan since 2006, but I've only managed to acquire one of their CDs, which is A Certain Trigger. They play some good music, actually.

Thanks,
Lukario

Not too bad, actually (you know me, I'm a picky fucker when it comes to music.)

My five year old niece finds it incredibly danceable.

Their music is pretty danceable, which is kind of hard to find for most rock music.
