I finished The End of Time today, the finale of Season 4 (or 30, for you oldies), and I thought "You know, we have enough people here to start a discussion about this truly amazing show." If nothing else, I'm sure Mage and I will keep it up.

So, I was all hyped up for the return of the Time Lords at the end of End of Time Part 1, and then Part 2 had to come along, and we find out that Rassilon is a jerk. I was disappointed. Thoughts, anybody?

I'm putting my reply in spoiler tags because a couple of my comments mention things that anyone who hasn't yet seen that episode may rather not read about.

*high five*

Technically I think it was the finale of Season 4.5, but, uh...I'm not really sure. The Doctor Who season system makes about as much sense as its continuity does.

I shall put my thoughts on The End of Time in spoiler tags as Dino did.

Could someone tell me how to do a spoiler? I've looked and looked, and I know it's here somewhere, but I just can't find it. I don't want to ruin it for anybody.

It's just standard BBCode, like the italics and bold tags. Just write "spoiler" and "/spoiler" (without the quotes) in brackets.

Anyone else thinking that maybe we should just slap a "SPOILERS" disclaimer in the topic description and not worry about the burden of five-thousand spoiler tags?

Right. Done.

So, how many of you know if the Doctor likes pears? I know Mage does, but I was wondering if you all did. If Mage would be so kind as to post the name of that certain extra, so you could watch it, it would be nice. It's hilarious.

Also, for your amusement:

The Master's Facebook Page (Follows The End of Time).

Captain Jack's Facebook Page (Follows Children of Earth).

Oh, and just because I want to be able to use this: :dalek:

The things I miss when I don't post for a long time...

I think I'd have to watch The End of Time again to be able to give any sort of sensible reaction. I tend not to think too hard the first time I watch something, so my response was something simple, along the lines of "OH GOD DAVID TENNANT DON'T GO". (Which is not to say I'm not looking forward to the new season with Matt Smith.)

@Mage:
The things you posted made me laugh lots. :)

I'm making a song about the Master. It'll be called Master, and it'll have the basic da-da-da-da rhythm that is synonymous with the guy.

And then I'm going to play it around Anne.

I've actually noticed that I tend to tap that tune when I get annoyed or impatient. I'm not sure why, really. Maybe just because it lends itself towards being tapped angrily.

Yeah, but then what would the point be in hypnotizing the Americans?

Unless Obama is the Master. Which would explain a lot, actually. Although The End of Time would seem to have dismissed that theory, in which case perhaps it's someone else in American politics who's hoping to run in 2012? That would certainly be interesting, although I'd be kind of disappointed in him for trying the same plan twice, almost in a row.

It's probably Nader. He's finally figured out the secret to winning an election.
