Taken - 4/5, I really liked it.
I went to the movies to see this with James last week and it was really damn good. About what I expected.

Still Waiting... - 4/5, I really liked it.
Not as good as the first one but still fucking funny.

Quantum of Solace - 4/5

Saw it on DVD again last night but felt like the first time, its a great movie but feels to much like a filler for the next film.

Marley & Me - 2/5, I didn't like it.
Made me cry so hard. I haven't cried since the summer when my dog was put down and I've had a bad day and this movie brought back bad memories. It was just too much...

The Knowing 2/5

it was decent for the most of the movie however the over abundant christian undertones throughout the movie and then the heaped on correlation between the bible at the end ruined anything the movie had going for it to me.

Observe and Report - 5/5, I loved it.
The movie was really, really awesome until about 20 or 30 minutes before the end then it started to get boring... Then this dude is running around naked and some cool shit happens... So it was all good at the end XD

The Amityville Horror (1979) - 4/5, I really liked it.
This movie was really good and I usually don't say that about older movies like this. I generally don't like them.

The Amityville Horror (2005) - 2/5, I didn't like it.
They did a really bad job with this movie. The original is a lot better.

Knowing - It wasn't that bad. There were some things that I thought really weren't needed but then at the end it kind of made sense why they were in there. It felt kind of Nostradamusy to me, but it worked. 7/10? 8/10? I dunno. Somewhere in there.

Max Payne 5/5 - Fantastic action movie, had some of the best action sequences...and one absolutely most awesome shotgun usage ever!
Watchmen 3/5 - O.K. Storyline...too much nudity and a sex scene that didn't need to be there.
Speed Racer 5/5 - An awesome thrill ride of explosive racing (some comedic sequences were a tad goofy, but didn't detract from the movie).
Quatum of Solace 4/5 - A good movie that had a great continuation of the first Daniel Craig Bond and worthy of a Bond movie without gadgets (I love these kind of Bonds).
Lakehouse 5/5 - A good classic love story, that involves a time...and it becomes timeless...simply divine!!
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 4/5 - a good continuation of the TFATF series, can't wait to see the new one.
Transformers: The Movie 4/5 - The sequel is coming soon, the first one was cool, but a little bit goofy at the same time.
Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children 4/5 - A really good movie sequel involving realism and some fanstastic sword play.
Casino Royale 5/5 - The first of the Daniel Craig Bonds and an explosive beginning of a whole new Bond!
Tron 5/5 - A classic film that puts laymen creations to Computer Graphics. (The 30th Anniversary Edition explains a lot of how they pulled it off.)
Gladiator 5/5 - A really, really good story of a General who became a slave, a slave who became a gladiator, a gladiator who defied an Emperor....You have to see it to believe it!
Ghost in the Shell 5/5 - A very good innovative animation movie that tells of a computerized future city and raises some very good questions.
Taken 5/5 - A very good action movie, one that deserves to be watched over and over again.
The Replacement Killers 5/5 - A good thriller with a great moral story! Chow Yun Fat.....awesome all of the way!
The Last Samurai 5/5 - A really good story of a General Custer Captain whoi is taken by the Samurai and what happens during the captivity.
Romeo Must Die 4/5 - A pretty good Jet Li movie and the only movie with Aalyiah before her helicopter crash....she is a fantastic actress...such a sad time.
Live Free or Die Hard 5/5 - A absolutely more than fantastic Die Hard done in classic John McClane Style!! (Yippee-Ky-A MotherF**ker!)

Okay, thank you for being the only person to agree with me on this one. I mean, come the fuck on, there's "storyline" and selling a movie. You shouldn't have to sacrifice one to get the other.

Shrek - 4/5 Liked Overall
Do you think, when Fiona finally shares True Love's First Kiss®, and when she doesn't turn into an human, that, perhaps, Shrek wasn't her true love? Just saying...

I went to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine yesterday.

I certainly enjoyed it, and it was nice to see some of the other characters, even if they only had cameo parts. (People on another forum were complaining they didn't do enough with Deadpool. I can't comment on Deadpool - I've never followed him in the comics and, other than his motor mouth, I don't know a lot about him.) I was keen to see what Gambit would be like and I was reasonably happy with their depiction.

They've messed about with the canon a bit but I wasn't too bothered as I was expecting it (though I had a couple of minor issues with it). Actually, after coming home and doing a bit of research, I found that they hadn't altered things quite as much as I had thought. There were a number of things that it turned out had been taken from other titles that I hadn't read. But, without including any spoilers, I wasn't entirely happy with the ending. I also felt that Wolverine didn't seem violent enough. What happened to his berserker rages? But then I suppose they didn't want to have to up the age rating.

I think I'd give it 4/5 for my overall enjoyment of it, but 3.5/5 for the adaptation of Wolverine's story.

That I will agree with, though, I am still not sure why they felt the need to erase Wolverine's memories...oh well. I guess that is just a part of it.

The Wild Geese: Best film EVER. Hardy Kruger, Roger Moore, Richard Burton and Richard Harris. Can you imagine a more perfect mix? Ok, so the plots a bit rushed but it doesnt half make up for it. I also feel obliged to point out that the opening credits are superb (since the guy who did them is my best mates dad).
Really, its a brilliant film. Given the choice between watching The Wild Geese with a fat, drunken frenchman or watching The stuffing Dutchess with Kiera 'feminazi' Knightly, id pick The Wild Geese anyday.

Night of the Living Dead (1968) - 2/5, I didn't like it.
I'm not a big fan of black and white movie to begin with but I figured I would give this a chance so I could compare it with the 2006 remake. I didn't really like it at all.

Night of the Living Dead (2006) - 2/5, I didn't like it.
I disliked the remake about the same. Maybe more.

you haven't read the graphic novel, have you? I will admit the sex scene was a little over steamy, but was in fact part of the storyline. (now I figured out I had on bold. whoops.) It was about 95% true to the original, with the glaring exception of the ending, and all story pertaining to it. it also streamlined a bit of the side stories (which were nothing more than flavor to begin with), but overall I found it to be one of the best comice adaption to film made. ever. I will admit I was bit off put by the copious amounts of giant blue wang, however. other than that. mindblowingly awesome.

I also would like to add to the Wolverine bit: what the hell did they do to Deadpool? I am also laughing, as they have announced the Deadpool movie, and how he is going to be like the comic, with more powers. holycrap. just go with the material you have, and stop trying to but spinners on a tricycle.

Equilibrium 5/5: A good sci fi futuristic story about what lengths a society could go through to prevent a WW3 from happening. Has a couple of very good sequences involving guns that are not like Wanted...a good moral bit too, when the main character played by Christian Bayle finds out what happens when certain rules are not followed.

Versus 4/5: This was a strange story and not one many people might understand.

Once Upon A Time In China 1-3 5/5: A fantastic story of myth centered in ancient China, a very good series of movies with Jet Li.

Ultraviolet 4/5: This was a story that centered on a future Earth, where a disease turns people into vampires and the choice of one person to prevent it when she develops a moral sense.

Dark City 5/5: A surprisingly good story with Keifer Sutherland, Rufus Sewall, Jennifer Connelly, and William Hurt. Rufus wakes up during an experiment and realizes, he has amnesia. In the attempt to find himself, he becomes lost in the maze where there is more then meets the eye around every "corner".

Kung Fu Hustle 5/5: starring Steven Chow, this over exaggerated version of every single Old China kung fu films is takes you on a journey following one guy who wants to become an Axe Gang member and instead becomes the greatest Chi Master ever.

Unleashed 5/5: Bob Hopskins, Jet Li, and Morgan Freeman: A story about a slave who is tortured into becoming the Doberman version of a Human and what happens when he tries to break those bonds after discovering there is more to life than obeying a "master". Jet Li's Foray into using a no holds barred no martial arts type fighting method.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves 5/5: A very good retelling of the Tale starring Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater, and Alan Rickman.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Movie 5/5: a really good series starter for the franchise loved by all. 4 turtles, a rat ninja master, April O'Neil, Casey Jones and Shredder...need I say more!

The Fugitive 5/5: A thrill ride of an escaped convict accused of murdering his wife after the release of a drug called Provasic. Harrison Ford, and Tommy Lee Jones.

Under Siege 5/5: Stephen Segal goes after Tommy Lee Jones after an Aircraft Carrier is taken over by terrorists:

Speed 5/5: Keanu Reaves, Dennis Hoppper, and Sandra Bullock star in this nonstop thrill ride in which a cop must stop a demented Bomber without slowing down.

The Transporter 2 5/5: Though there are minor qualms with some of the acting from the supporting cast, Jason Statham still manages to pull off a great movie and show off a Bullet Proof Audi.

IronMan 5/5: Robert Downey Jr. stars as the Technical Genius, Tony Stark as he finds out first hand what can happen when the weapons he builds are used against him.....so what does he do...Why, build his own of course! A really good action flick.

Tropic Thunder 5/5: This movie should be an instant classic and the comedy of Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr, and Ben Stiller...make this movie so good it will knock your socks off! "You never go Full Retard!", and you won't watching the insanity of this film! I guarentee it!

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 5/5: (the only qualm being that the entire film is in a forein language called Mandarin), I loved the story and the classic fly by wires effects and fight scenes detailing not only one love story, but two! Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat.

Forbidden Kingdom 5/5: A great story following a kid who becomes the basis of a prophecy fortold by an Oracle. Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Jet Li (not a mistake by the way).

Universal Soldier 5/5: A good story of an experimental super soldier that can heal with ice! Dolph Lundgren, Jean claude Van Damme.

BloodSport 5/5: Bolo Yeong, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Forrest Whitaker star in this true story of Frank Deux. A forbidden tournament called the Kumite is being held in Hong Kong and Frank Deux is in it. But he will find that there is more than just warriors stopping him from completing a personal quest to honor is own Shidoshi..Tanaka.

American Ninja 5/5: Micheal Dudikof stars in a action film about an Army loner with Martial Art skills and amnesia that becomes embroiled in a plot to deal in military weapons.
"American Ninja? What are you talking about? There is no such thing!" "I do not lie!"

Big Trouble in Little China 5/5: Victor Wong, Kim Catrall, Kurt Russell star in a story about trouble that insues after 2000 years an ancient curse will come to haunt San Fransisco ChinaTown. ("You know what Jack Burton always says at a time like that, 'Have you paid your dues Jack?!' 'Yessir, the check is in the mail!'")

Batman Begins 5/5: A fantastic retelling of the beginning Bruce Wayne and his quest for true Justice, as Gotham City's greatest protector. Katie Holmes, Christian Bayle, Morgan Freeman, Rutgar Hauer, and Liam Niessan, Gary Oldman, and Micheal Caine

The Dark Knight 5/5: Heath Ledger, Christain Bayle, Morgan Freeman, Micheal Caine. this is a very Dark continuation as Batman goes all out to catch the Joker in a movie that will blow your mind! Heath Ledger died after the making of this film (accidental drug overdose)...May he rest in eternal peace.

A Knight's Tale 5/5: A fantastic story with Rufus Sewall, Heath Ledger about a boy who dreams of one day "changing his stars", this is one not to be missed.

More to follow later.

Star Trek 5/5
Finally got to see this movie and I loved it. I thought they kept the pace going well throughout the whole film; there were no sections that dragged. There was some very nice humour, including making fun of some of the aspects of the original series, as well as lots of nice little references. And I thought they came up with an interesting storyline and resolved it in an interesting way.

Synecdoche New York - 5/5. This movie was amazing. Mind blowing. As you watch, the film pretty much eats your brain, and then shits it back into your head. It is almost impossible to tell what is really going on upon first watch unless you are incredibly deductive and insanely brilliant. A must watch.
