Scandinavia and the World. Same kind of idea as Hetalia, except from a Scandinavian point of view.

Mistborn: The Final Empire. Probably my favourite of the trilogy.

Also catching up on Questionable Content, thanks to Katie's avatar/sig reminding me.

I'm reading Garth Nix's The Keys to the Kingdom series at the moment. Currently, I'm on the 5th book, titled Lady Friday.

Just finished reading Kafka On the Shore. I now have to write an eight page report on its contained philosophy. Yaaaaaaaaaaay this wont be hard at all :\

Going to finish either Dharma Bums or Beyond Good and Evil next, both of which I have already started multiple times and have yet to finish.

Blood Canticle by Anne Rice. Not her best work, but I finally finished the series :/

Think I'll follow with a more serious book.

Two Dresden Files books (Proven Guilty and Ghost Story) by Jim Butcher, and Elantris by Brandon Sanderson, and I'm about five minutes away from starting the new Terry Pratchett.

Yeah, swapping back and forth between three or four books. Sometimes I wonder if I have an attention span.

Dresden! : D

Stephen King's Danse Macabre, A People's History of the United States, Josser: the Secret Life of a Circus Girl (interesting but depressing), and the first Odd Thomas book.

Or at least, those are all books I have checked out from the library. Progress...varies. I'd feel worse about having them out for so long if I thought anyone else in the county was likely to read them.

I was wearing my Bozeman and dark greatcoat at work the other day and some guy said I looked like I had walked out of the Dresden Files. I've not read/seen Dresden, so I didn't know what he was talking about.

In that outfit, I'm pretty sure that assessment is correct. B)

And to keep on-topic, I've started reading Temeraire after you mentioned it in a Facebook post, Mage, just when I was thinking I'd like a good novel to read, in addition to all my manga. So far, I'm finding it really engrossing, and I'm getting pretty attached to Temeraire. XD

*hand-clap* Yay! More people reading Temeraire is always good. I feel for Laurence, though; poor guy goes through a lot.

He does, though his own prejudices sometimes make things worse than they might have been, but it's understandable given the society they're living in. Nevertheless, as I expected, I've been seeing some of those prejudices disappearing as the book has progressed. I'm not far from the end now; I'll be interested to see how he develops in the subsequent ones. (But I still like Temeraire himself best.) I'd better look up which one is Book 2 and get that ordered.

I've been reading Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Stories. I've already completed the first volume and I am partway into the second volume, which I need to get back to soon.

Someone (may have been ClanSoul) was enthusing about the anime version a while back. I watched the first episode and enjoyed it, and I haven't yet found a series where the manga was worse than the anime, so you're probably safe. :D
