I'll be interested to hear what you think of Lords and Ladies. It was one of my favourites.

I've just read Wuthering Heights, which was quite a pageturner — I managed to finish it in three days, which surprised me greatly.

I remember liking Wuthering Heights to whatever extent. It was interesting, in any case. I use Goodreads, if anyone else does. It's a nice way to keep track of that stuff.

I've been writing a lot and doing a lot of work lately so I'm still stuck on the second Harry Potter.

I've started on Le Comte de Monte Cristo (I've read it once in English translation, but I thought I might as well try to read it in the original), which is nice enough; I can understand it surprisingly well — I was expecting it to be somehow more difficult. I suppose there is something to be said for divorcing the written language from the spoken to the extent that French does.

I finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in but a few hours, so I guess tonight I'll start with the second book from the Hunger Games series since that's all I have here.

About halfway through with The Neon Court, which is the third Matthew Swift book. This is the most urban urban fantasy I've ever read. Had to look up a few British terms while reading, for the first time in a while.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. That is, when I'm not studying for the GREs or writing my thesis.

So somewhere I missed a post. But I finished Lords and Ladies some time back and started Soul Music, which took forever to finish because I've less time to dedicate to reading lately and Soul Music just didn't really drawn me in on top of that. Two days ago I finished that and now I've begun Interesting Times.

Looks like I also missed a post. I started The Fifth Elephant some time around the end of June, but was so busy through July that that I made very slow progress. Now I keep it in my bag and read it in odd moments when I'm out. In the meantime, I've read Nihonshi, a bilingual history of Japan from prehistoric times to the 1990s, which I borrowed from my Japanese teacher's husband, and I've just finished Bleach 38, and am about to start the fourth Temeraire book, Empire of Ivory.

Finished the fourth and last Matthew Swift book. For some reason my library insists on classifying these as YA.

I've just started Marvel's Civil War. I'd followed it as best I could through the two X-Men titles I subscribe to when it was running in the comics, but it was hard to keep up with all the ins and outs when half the story was happening in comics I didn't see. Now I've finally acquired the whole thing.

Do want!
No really, that's next one my list of comic books to get.

I've finished Interesting Times and most of the Fall of the Hulks line of comic issues. Since I've finished those, Mage has gotten me Furies of Calderon, from Butcher's Codex Alera series, so I'm going to be reading that now.

We should have a Codex Alera book club gaiz.

What a coincidence. :P

I have to admit I've never heard of that series. *blush* But if both of you are enjoying it, it's very likely something I'd like too. I'll add it to my list for when I finished the Temeraire series. (Note to self: must remember to order next Temeraire book.)

Right now waiting for two linguistic books by R.L. Trask, but until they arrive I can't remember the exact titles (I found them going for £1.90 and 1p respectively on Amazon. :D)

I don't have it yet, but I just ordered myself a copy of J.K. Rowling's new novel The Casual Vacancy. Hoping it's good since she also wrote my favorite book series of all time.

Eh, so far I'm not being grabbed by it, to be honest. I'm still only in the first chapter, so I'm not going to quit since it still has bookoos of time to get better, but I can say honestly it doesn't have a strong hook.
