Of course, you could just make him a Wyvern Rider.

Yes, yes I could. And I shall. Is it's such a small difference, it's not going to hurt anyone.

Also,
@Aeon- Even if on Ephraim's route, we can give you items to start with.

Sorry. I had 360 in my head when I made the post, but I fixed it.

You're in Jayge.

Also, to anyone else intent on signing up: I've updated the "Classes to Choose from" list. Classes that we shouldn't have any more of have been struck through, and there's a class or two that we really need; I highlighted those in blue.

Any way I could possibly convince you replace Kyle/Forde and keep your class?

Quite easily - but I may have to change the class anyway. Female merc is sort of...fail.

There's a female merc? I was under the impression that the only person of that class was... Bugger... the Hero lady from FE6.

Echidna. She was actually a female Hero, and that class only. Strangely enough, there is evidence to lend credence to the theory that there were supposed to be more of such characters. I've told a few of you, but let me put it all down at once for everybody:

FE8 is an odd game. I'm not saying that from the point of view of someone playing through it (many of whom seem to prefer describing it as a "disappointing" game), but rather from the point of view of someone looking at the data that Intelligent Systems/Nintendo has left/put in the game and then not used.

There are in fact FE6 style mamkutes existing partially (some of the animations are not present) in the game data. The class has a slot and stat information associated with it.

There is a female shaman class that works completely, as well as a female druid class that also works without a hitch. They are the same as those used for Sophia and Niime in FE6. Interestingly, there is also a slot labelled "Summoner (F)", which is obviously a female Summoner class. I have yet to test this class, but if it in fact is completly functional, than one can reasonably assert that there was meant to be a female dark magic user in FE8, else the designers would not have bothered to generate a female Summoner class for the branched promotion.

A working bard class remains from FE7.

For whatever silly reason, there is not a female thief class.

Now here's the kicker: There is a slot reserved for a female merc class. It has a strange overworld sprite that looks something like a cross between a male myrmidon and a sword-weilding bonewalker; the animation works, but appears to be short a frame, as I suspect from the jerky movement while the unit awaits orders. However, the class does not have its own battlesprites. When entering battle, the game is directed to look at the male merc battle animation.
As for the female hero class, it's a similar situation. The overworld sprite exists, and works perfectly. It's the same one used for Echidna in FE6. However, the battlesprites have been removed, and so, like the female merc class, it defaults to the male equivalent for the battle animation.

Personally, I think Nintendo got lost halfway through the design and started remaking FE6 before hitting themselves upside the head and reminding themselves this was supposed to be a new game. They stopped throwing in the old classes and instead decided to throw crap like summoners and rogues into the mix.

Well ARG's going by...ARG.

Change it to the one you most often go by. Cata can justify it.
If anyone can.

Heh. I'd have thought of using that, if it weren't for my different states. There's Crazy and there's Sane; simple, right? If both merge correctly, they become Gran, and Bipolar when they merge incorrectly.

Thus, the best medium would have to be Ditto. :\

Right, Cata's been to occupied to get anything going with the plot, and since I don't want this project remaining dead dying, we've had a little reorganization.

The Script/Plot team is now just ARG and myself, and we'll post the thing as parts are completed here in the General Discussion Thread. I'll delete the thread exclusive to the Script/Plot Team, since it's now been rendered rather redundant.

Yeah, ditto.

Since everyone's been pretty booked, is it going to hurt anyone's feelings if we dispense with the team nonsense and just go through with this as things come up?

Right. I'm just going to cut this down to the two the two threads then and delete the rest.

Also, an update:
Things are moving again, as much as they can. The script is written (mostly courtesy ARG) for the Prologue and first two chapters. Once I get this one mug and put it in, I'll be able to finish out the dialogue and post a short video of all the changes accept for Zeth's class and the maps themselves.

Characters appearing in these first few chapters include:
Chaz
Zeth
ARG
Jayge
Ditto
and possibly one other.

Right, two days later than I anticipated, but it IS here finally. This preview is all about characters. The description for the video has more. There has been no dialogue editing yet, but you'll notice the description changes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXla6oYjlTE

The characters we ended up seeing are (in the order and chapter in which they join):

Prologue: Dread Empire's Fall:
Zeth Holt - Unedited Class
Chaz Natlo - Great Knight

Chapter 1: Remnants
1337 - Thief
Kiseki Harada - Pegasus Knight

Chapter 2: Entry Wound
Atticus Galfridus (ARG) - Cavalier
Jayge Ashera - Shaman

EDIT:
DID figure out the animation inserter courtesy Xeld's FEditor, DIDN'T get it to work with the female thief class, which means Aeon's still SOL at this point in time. Will try harder. Will test the Female Hero class animation insertion later tonight. Eirika Lord class has been replaced with a repaletted variety of Lloyd's unique swordmaster class from FE7. Screenshot:
Image

EDIT2:
Good news: Female Thief Sprites are inserted and working! Aeon Frodo no longer has to crossdress! Got Jayge working on custom Zeth promoted class and both Cata classes, as well as a female merc class for DH and a new class that's going to be a surprise fro dark magic users to promote to.
Also working on inserting the female hero class at this point in time. Thanks to Blademaster over and FEUniverse, I know what I'm doing now. Should be much easier and proceed much quicker.
