Nice pics! Personal fave here is the 1st one of the town hall, I like the reflection there. But all are good.

Some lovely photos there. There were several that I particularly liked:-

Flowers/Plants 1. I thought that was exquisite - so delicate and beautiful.

Fountains/Water 4. I liked the variations in texture and colour that you managed to capture in that one.

Statues/Sculptures 2. Nicely composed, and the richness of the greens in the hedging makes it look quite striking.

All the Town hall ones. I couldn't decide between the first two. On this PC the second one seemed clearer and more defined, but the screen on this one is very bright. I suspect that on other computers, the first one might well look better. And I loved the weeping willow (if that's what it was) and its reflection in the last one.

As always, you have some lovely photos there.

My favourite is the Lamp Post one. I think it's an interesting and attractive subject, the composition is excellent, and the contrats of the lamp post against the bright blue sky looks really effective.

I also really like the first and last Fountain Square ones. The contrasts in the lighting and the play of light on the water are very impressive.

A fascinating variety of subject matter there. I think I probably like the pirate ship and the Brandenburg Gate best.

And all those Berlin pictures brought back memories for me. Mac and I went to Berlin for our 25th wedding anniversary. I remembered several of those places. If I can hunt out our photos, maybe I could post a few of mine (if I can remember which ones I took - Mac and I were sharing a camera).

Well, after consulting with 'The Big Book of Animals', 'The Pictoral Encyclopoedia of the Animal Kingdom', 'The Living Planet', 'Powder and Ball Small Arms' (i got sidetracked), and even 'Origin of the Species' (which is all lies. I am the origin of the species!) Ive narrowed your unknown animal down to two things. Its too small to be a northern Opossum, but it could possibly be a Coati, or a Marsupial Anteater. Its definately not an elephant seal (alas!), and its too big to be a tree shrew.

Don't think about Elephants.

I did a bit of a search when when Katie first posted that photo too. It's the right shape for a coati, but all the coatis I could find had striped tails. I wondered about a polecat, but I don't think the head is quite right. The annoying thing is that I am sure I have seen one of these things in a zoo, if only I could remember what it was.

A lovely set of pictures. I don't think I can pick out a single one as my favourite, but I was especially impressed by the blossom ones near the start. The white flowers are particularly well-suited to black and white photography - they really stand out against the darker background. But just about all them look good in monochrome. It emphasises the shapes and the contrasts, and the structure of the picture, without the distraction of a multitude of colours.

I really like the blacklight eye. The colours are gorgeous and the soft focus gives it an ethereal look. Did you use a macro lens?

Playful Obie has come out really well too, and Poppy is nice as well. I also think the bicycle reflection works very effectively.

I suppose I'll use this as an update notification for my photo blog. Eventually, I'll get around to having an actual website to compile all of my work in an organized manner, but a blog will do for now, until I have the time for it.

New blog post

Interesting set of photos. The ones of the leaves and stars are the sorts of semi-abstract photos that I enjoy taking. I particularly like the couple of intensely glowing ones at the end.

I love those paper cranes (if that's what they are)! The effects of the light and shade on them, and the dark background, make for some beautiful images.

Thanks, Dino! I updated it yesterday, by the way.

Two or three posts, I think, although one will be coming down because they're not my work; they're just up there for a reclamation.

Taken as a whole, I think this latest set are my favourites so far. I love the effects of that decoration on the glass, as well as the shadows from the bike, and I think the views from under the table are remarkably effective.

There's a lovely selection in your latest post. A lot of the abstract ones, where you were just focusing on the patterns created by things, rather than specific images, were really nice, and I also very much liked the tree branches and the orchestra ones.

Definitely the bottle thing is one of the best photos I've ever seen you taken, Katie! You're getting better all the time!

ALSO: I love the bathroom ones...like the ones with the shower curtain rings...verry abstract but really cool looking.
