What is it?

Right now I'd say mine is the Wii, but of all time, I'd say Playstation 2.

All time? Dreamcast.

Right now? PSP.

I have a grudge against Microsoft so I may never get an Xbox.

At the moment probably Wii or DS, just due to the catalogue of games available between them... maybe about 85% of the games I'm interested in are playable on one or the other, especially with the whole Virtual Console thing going on.

You people really shouldn't be so vague on your answers. Include detail as to why.

No offense, but you aren't a mod. I didn't ask for why; hell I didn't even list why. They're fine.

I'll give him a little satisfaction.

I love 360 because it's got some boss games (Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas, Rock Band, etc.), the graphics are the best out of any console, and it's got Xbox Live, the best of the online programs of the next gen consoles.

Oh, and the achievements system is awesome.

It depends really. My three winners would be:

On Sheer Fun Factor: Nintendo Wii

In terms of an overall fun experience, I'd say the Wii wins since it is home to new, innovative games, new ways of getting the player to interact with the game, and a huge library of old games since it is the only console with full backwards compatability and has everything from NES to N64 now on sale on the Wii Store. This is the console I'd use for parties and such.

For Internet Gaming: Xbox 360

For all the flak that Microsoft gets over Xbox Live, it is a pretty seemless experience that runs smoothly all the time. It's also lead to the creation of greater multiplayer experiences, Halo 3 and CoD4 being the key examples.

For Hardware Possibilities: PSP

Despite it's rather lackluster software titles early on (there are exceptions), the console is phenomenal in the sheer amount of customability and possibilities...if you hack the console and go into the homebrew scene (which Sony has been fighting constantly).

For Software Lineup: SNES

Face it, it had so many of those classic cult hits that it just can't be beat. Super Metroid, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Link to the Past, etc.

All time...tough choice between PS2 and SNES.

Currently, I guess 360, if only because I've been playing Oblivion too much.

SNES, and Genesis, with the Saturn a close second.

Sheer game libaies. Also Genesis had some off the wall games on it, some of which were downright dark. This continued onto Saturn, that was sadly shortlived. (not as short as the Saturn, however.)

X-Box, hands down. Why, you may ask annoyingly? Well, all of my favorite games have been for either X-Box or PS1, and the Box has built in memory. No Cards! Not to mention, I can only afford an X-Box. And the PSP takes way too long to load.

X-Box games I like:
Castlevania
Morrowind
Splinter Cell
Unreal Championship, Unreal Tournament
Theif
Halo (I know)

PS1 Games I like:
Rayman
Final Fantasy
Spyro Series
Legend of Dragoon(!!)
Ogre Battle Saga (Limited Edition)
Final Fantasy Tactics (The original Tactics, and the best of the three)

There are more, but I don't remember.

PC>All, especially since it can play almost any game from any console.

PC aside I'd say 360 right now. Wii is weak and I regret ever touching the thing. PS3 bores me. Of all time I'd probably pick the SNES. Childhood is a trump card.

I agree, the Wii needs some better stuff, but it's still good...

right now I'm mainly RPGs...

The Breath of fire games, The Mother Series, Chrono trigger/cross, the wild arms series, Kingdom hearts, the final fantasies, ect.

as for non RPGs... I would say things like harvest moon, Metroid, Mario, Zelda, you guys know the old school stuff.

Now why did I say RPGs? basically to defend that my favorite console is the PS2... because Playstation is renowned for it's constant stream of RPG titles... wild arms, Final fantasy, ect.

but I decided to get a 360 now because the PS3 has barely any good RPGs that intrest me, and the 360 has a lot of good ones like fable 2, Fallout 3, Oblivion, ect.

Oblivion and Fallout are on PS3, and Fable 2 sucks.

Playstation 2, due to its broad selection of JRPGs and the SNES for the classic games I loved as a kid (and still do)!

N64 was amazing, but Xbox 360 for me. Sadly mine died on me. PS3 was not all I thought it would be.

PS2.. I haven't went next-gen yet as I can't afford to.
If I could I'd get the 360 and the Wii.
All the good PS games are going to the 360 this gen... :/

I love the Wii and my DS.
The cast of characters that span the Games are brilliant - Pokémon, Mario, Zelda etc.
The Virtual Console is great.
They're pretty good for family fun, too. Last night, we all got together to play on my Wii and we had a great time. Even on Super Smash Brothers Brawl, in which Mum and her partner had absolutely no idea what was happening.
I love my DS, though. A lot. Best console ever. Especially as I covered it in Hello Kitty vinyl stickers.
