Of course, it'll take a lot more than 20 dropships to deploy a regiment strength formation. Freikorps Regiments have 80 or so on active duty at once (and they're a lot bigger than yours) with another forty or fifty on redundancy.

That is true but we don't really have that many soldiers. We probably have about 450 soldiers on active duty at one time, though I can assure you a Sturmwaffen trooper is just as good as 10 regular Freikorps marines.

Not in open combat surely. I'm not kidding when I say that the new Freikorps Marine Integrated Weapons System is one of the best in the multiverse. I also doubt that unaugmented troops could best someone with the RFM enhancement package in unarmed combat. Then again, I understand that your force is a commando unit, suited for deep strike, precision and stealth. Still, I'd be more comfortable knowing that if one of your VTOLS broke down or were shot down, that you'd have a replacement ready to go immediately.

That is once again true, the commando force is nothing if we lose a few men due to something like that. I guess it's best to be safe than to be sorry.
These soldiers would only equal maybe three Freikorp marines in open field battle situations.

In open field battle, the Freikorps would have armour, air support, orbital fire support, full use of their assisted targeting system and armour sensors, not to mention HVM launchers and other squad support weaponry. This is why we don't have many of those in this day and age. The RFM's weaknesses are enemy strongholds and chokepoints when orbital support is unavailable, that's where your troops come in.

And those are perfect places for my troops to operate, it isn't going to be a problem. My troops will get in and out before the enemy knows what hit them.
