We should have a freikorps aplication thread.

I know you wanted to only chose the best, but you could just give the majority a lower rank till they prove their awesomness. Power in numbers, we could soon stretch across the entire Intrawebz.

Throw the idea at Cata and see what he says. I personally don't mind so much (though it will be difficult to come up with stockpiles of badges @_@), but it seems that with the recent explosion of applicants at Mercury that many of those who sign up just won't "get it." You know what I mean?

Also, btw Wiki, you need to apply for membership in the Freikorps group on this site. You should be able to do that from your profile options. Just go to "join Public Groups," or something like that.

I'm going to have to be the opposition to this. I have seen what happens when an internet group takes everyone whom asks. eventually people start thinking that they can declare who the group is at war with and they get beaten and it reflects negatively on the whole.

Exactly. They just don't understand what's going on. I happen to know this from... personal experience...

Then I should probably mention that circumventing the authority of the General Staff counts as treason somewhere right?

Probably, but I find they think they are defending the honour of the group or something... It should work so long as we can watch them anyways and retract anything that wouldn't be in the best interest of the Freikorps.

...And come down on repeat offenders like a tonne of bricks. If they don't like military discipline, then Anne's got an organization for people who don't like taking orders.

We need opposition more then we need new members right now, Someone who can at least put up a fight to make it interesting.

Also, even if we have an application thread, it doesn't mean we have to accept every one, I just noticed that we have had tons of people from Mercury wanting to join and linking them said thread would be a lot easier then interviewing the individual.

It would also help advertise this place.

I removed Zeth from the Leader board of the Freikorps and added myself, just because this gives both groups an admin leader. I will leave all approval and group managing up to Cata.

I'm shaking this topic awake, now that the exercise is complete.

In case some of you were wondering, this is the main talk thread for the Freikorps, and is especially apt to have small skirmishes break out in it.

This is also a good place to discuss when our next battle could be.

Any ideas for skirmishes? Maybe Cata vs. Everybody else? It'd be interesting to see who would win...

Cata and Zeth vs. everybody else would end in one way- Cata and Zeth winning. Most definately. MAYBE everybody else could beat them if it was just us attacking them, no strategy needed, but I must say Zeth and Cata are the two strategy masterminds on this site.

Yes, very true. Of course, you must give Avalon for the original freheit activity on the first forum. These activites shake the forum for a while but are generally a whole lot of fun.

*Reconfigures security authorizations*

Personally, I find it impossible that on the ENTIRE internet, there isn't another group like the Freikorps or one of the organizations the Freikorps came from.

Can't we track one of them down and battle them?
Knowing me, if there were another group it'd end up being French or Spanish or Zulu or something...

That would be neat. We could link the forums together and have intermengling between the two groups. Then we could prove that we are superior... oh wait, would we have to prove it??? Wouldn't they know?

We could always go back to FESS, see what Ryuu's up to.

I've seen other pseudo-para-military groups on the net, but none in the same field. most of them are just friend list. or one person with a god complex pretending to have control over an army while they are really only one person.

Edit: I've always found Thunk to be more entertaining.

Ryuu doesn't count Cata.
Though I am HIGHLY interested in re-establishing operations at FESS.

Well, Facebook might have groups like that. But I doubt they are worth anything.

And I bet you could find one Zeth. That something I would think that you would like to do.

Don't you like to go searching for things.... Since you search through old forums for old information I figured searching the internet would be right up your league. if not, I'm sorry...

Finding another one would be quite hard, actually. But it's possible. I'll try to look for one in any case.
