Though the Realm has been known to shift its internal structure about some when in repair mode, this room is among those that rarely, if ever, moves, thanks to its Falter Security, which very nearly makes it god-proof unless you're some sort of technomancer and can out-think the quaternary based ESM (Evolving Security Measure).

When the Realm fell years ago, the Armoury was emptied of all its 'big guns', but there are still some of the lower-grade weaponry--mostly physical rounds--and a bunch of close quarter bladed weapons such as knives and swords. The Armoury, being on a secure system, has remained stubbornly physically closed since it lost power, but the energy shields are currently down and magical defences are on the fritz until power returns.

The room itself is a relatively small hexagon shape with lots of rotating and sliding panels in the walls, ceilings and floor. Some remain half open or bent--broken. There are small piles of gadgetry in places, and a few pieces of broken machinery, nearly all of it is broken and looks as if it's survived some sort of explosion. Unless you need a bunch of sharp objects or a think tank, the room is largely useless at the moment.

[From the Brig]

Into this Room, Timothy's Coat first sent Syn, then Raine, then Timothy himself — it was as smooth a Trip as though one had been covered with a Counterpane only to uncover oneself and be elsewhere, less the Uncovering; had the Scenery not changed so abruptly, there should have been no Indication to the Traveller that he had gone anywhere at all. The Shifting of the Dot on the Map was quite instant: it ceased to exist at one Point and began existing at another.

Timothy was rather amused to find himself in a Room filled with Weapons, though it had been quite some Time since he had fought with anything but his Fists, though he did not wonder if some of them might prove useful against the Lizardmen, though his first Question was, of course, 'Whein sindem wa ?' — which, of course, means Where are we? and sounds rather like Whane sindim wah?, but without the convenient Translation which comes from Narration.

Then he looked quite earnestly at his Companions and said something which could only be an Apology for sending everybody off so abruptly.

Syn seemed to have blinked at the wrong moment.

"...waitwut?"

Raine joined him in his confusion for a moment.

"Tim, did you just teleport us, with your coat?" She asked, wondering where she was now.

"Magical, mystical Tim." Syn muttered, scratching his head. That didn't feel like time-travel at least, and they seemed to be in the Armoury. At least, what he assumed was the Armoury, it was a lot more decrepit-looking than he remembered it. "Oh, hey, sharp objects. I think we're in luck."

"This would be some sort of weapons storage room then?" Asked Raine, taking a good look around. "Are we back on the Realm?"

"I think so. Thanks Tim, you just saved us a lot of trouble." Syn was already looking around for the surveillance system, if there were cameras or monitors around, he didn't want the Dromes to know they were here.

Timothy began to look about and saw that the Room, wherever it was, seemed to have been ransacked at some Time or other, though there were still quite a Number of serviceable-looking Weapons about, quite a Lot of which seemed to be Knives and Swords and suchlike. He looked over several and lighted on a basket-handled Broadsword; and, after swinging it about a few Times, he remembered well enough what he had learnt of Swordplay — it was, unfortunately, not a Clock-Sword, but he thought it might do well enough anyway.

Then he Picked up a Bag made of a very curious Material and emptied its Contents, which were not many — what looked to be a Blanket, an electric Torch, and some other Things Timothy did not recognose — and then he made a Magic on it which made it larger inside than out and emptied the Contents of his own Pockets into it: a Book, some Pencils, Peppermint Candies, a Box with a yellow floral Pattern with another Book tied to it which had the Words Greugnend Chrysophytes written across it in an old-looking Font, a Pocketwatch, and the Bell on which he had made some Kind of Magic earlier. Then he rolled up the Coat itself and added it and the Cane which it carried to the Bag, which looked no more full than it had before.

His Bag in order, Timothy began to look at Firearms — he had hoped to find a Pistol or two of some Kind, but he was not at all certain what any of what he was looking at was, so he looked at Syn and Raine and scratched his head while gesturing toward the Guns, as if asking what they recommended.

Syn's surveillance complete, he huffed. There was but one camera, but it had no power. He was surprised that the lights were even functioning, though if there was power in this section of the ship, then the life-support and lighting would be active as-standard.

He observed Timothy as the man looked around, and let out a short, low whistle as he made his selection. Powered weapons were fun, and swords, well. Some things are just plain nifty.

"One moment," said Syn, stepping over to Timothy with a knowing look and a little swagger when he motioned to the firearms. His voice took on a somewhat Texan-lilt, making him sound like a very stereotypical salesman of some description, before continuing. "First allow me to introduce you to the finer points of this-here chop-stick." And with this, he gestured to the sword, then took it carefully as Tim offered it, very helpfully. Then he stepped back, holding it carefully in front of him and taking great pain in making it look heavier than it was for him. "Now this here is yer bog-standard pig-sticker, right? In-correct. This here is an Adeptus Mechanicus-built, type-VI-dual-plasma-core-Gregori-class-heavy-power-sword." At this point, he twisted a small ring on the hilt, just beneath the basket, and the blade erupted into blue flames for a moment, then settled into a steady hum, encased in a hazy, blue-coloured field of slowly pulsating energy. "The perfect little toy for all of your reptile-slayin' needs, with more than enough extra pha-sahz to rip through a tank-or-two while you're at it!"

He gave the blade a couple of short, easy swings, then deactivated the blade and handed it back, lightly, to Timothy, indicating where the ring was before moving on.

"Now then, we simply must find you a suitable accompaniment among our fine collection of pea-shooters and pop-guns." He strode over to a rather large rack of dishevelled side-arms as he spoke. Then he took a deep breath "So here we have bolt pistols, needlers, shuriken launchers, crossbows, laspistols, mini-meltas, splinter pistols, slug throwers, sawn-off-shotguns, regular shotguns, plasma shotguns, plasma pistols, plasma rifles, micro rifles, sheep-launchers, mercury-lined binary-accelerator precision sniper rifles, rocket launchers, rokkit-launchers, las-revolvers, flamethrowers, grenade launchers, handheld quantum singularity generators, and a george-foreman grill. So name your instrument of peace through superior firepower~"

"...Bloody hell Syn, just give him a couple of those clip-loaders in the corner and stop being weird." Raine sighed, loudly.

"Peh, killjoy." Syn stuck his purple tongue out at her, then turned and retrieve a couple of heavy pistols. Battery-clip loaded laser pistols that seemed pretty solid, and had a good weight to them. Syn took a moment to check them, then found a small crate of clips for them, placing the lot in front of Timothy. "..With our compliments, good sir." he grinned. "Don't go killing all in one place, spread the love~"

"..Freak." Raine muttered, folding her arms.

Timothy was quite astonished when Syn asked to see his new Sword, to see him adjust some Manner of Screw which gave to it quite the strange, fiery blue Light, and said quite a Lot he did not have any Hope whatever of understanding. He took the Sword back and saw the Screw, exactly where Syn had mentioned, and wondered what, exactly, that Sword had been designed to do, and what might happen if he tried to put some of his own Magic into it, though he had not the Time to try before Syn began saying more regarding the various assembled Firearms after which he had previously been asking. He was given two very satisfactory-looking Armaments and the requisite Munitions, the latter of which he added to the Contents of his new Bag after making quite certain the Weapons were loaded; there seemed to be no Magic in them, which he thought quite convenient, because it meant he could make his own over them — he had not had much Practice with making Magics on Firearms, but there was no better Time to learn, he supposed, then when one has an Army of Lizardmen who want one dead swarming over one's present Location.

Raine did not seem at all thrilled with Syn's Talking, and, though Timothy had not the slightest Idea of what he was saying, he thought it all very funny, and snickered every now and again when nobody was looking; at the End, he let out quite a Laugh, which was louder than anything he had said to that Point, and wondered if he would not be as much of a Goof as these two if he spent too long in their Company. It was preferable to being slaughtered by Lizardmen, and he knew this very well, and besides, he was beginning to enjoy the Company of his new Companions, even though he wondered at their Morality in eating the dead Lizardmen, who were probably sentient, though Timothy was still not quite certain on that Point.

When he heard Raine call Syn something which sounded unpleasant — Frieck, it sounded like, though that did not mean anything to him — Timothy put his Hand on Syn's Shoulder, which he found very warm, and grinned rather broadly; then he took his new Sword, adjusted the Screw, and swung it around a Bit more — it fit well in his Hand, but he thought it better that it should have his own Magic in it, and so he put a Little of it in, and the Blue gave way to Yellow, which is the Colour all Magic from his World has, and it looked rather more muted, though its Effect was quite unchanged. It felt quite good in his Hand, and he gave it a few more Swings before he twisted the Screw again and belted it at his side and nodded to Syn and said something which sounded very like he was thanking him.

"Alright then, cool. Now what to do next?" Syn's 'happy moment' was short-lived, now they needed to focus on how to take back the Realm. "I reckon...Raine, got enough of that creepy super-food left in ya to give them something to worry about?"

"Sure, I'll have to be careful with my ammunition, but I can manage a full transformation, complete with the pointy things you're so fond of. No problem." Raine replied, grinning darkly. She'd enjoy a little rampage.

"Awesomesauce, and Tim...uh, fancy giving this new gear a test run?" He asked, not expecting to be understood, but thinking that some response to Timothy's powersword changing colour was appropriate, he'd certainly never seen that happen before.

Timothy tried very hard to understand what Syn and Raine were saying, but with no Luck, and it was not as though he were going to find this Shaina Person and her magic whatever-it-was which could do something helpful, in the Weapon-Room. At the end of it, Syn said something to him, and seemed to be looking rather anxiously at the Sword — he had wanted it to look a Bit more magical, though rather clearly the Change perplexed him, but there was really no Way to explain that it was merely aesthetical as far as the Functions of the Sword itself were concerned, though it would make a fetching Magic much easier. Then Timothy thought of how very silly it would be to rush off and fight against armed and, from all appearances, well-trained, Enemies, without any Defence other than what he could do magically, so he gestured towards himself and tried to look like he was putting on some Form of Armour, and then he looked inquiringly at Syn and Raine and hoped they would understand.

It was Syn's turn to look perplexed now. He began trying to figure out what Timothy meant.

"...You want...to find a hat? To get a tie? New coat? But yours travels through time! Oh, new shirt? Yeah, that one is looking a little-"

"He wants armour, Syn. And yes, protection is a good plan." Raine interjected, before pointing out a few things. "Not all of us can grow better armour than most heavy vehicles, and I don't recall you being bulletproof, so I think you should take a look for some personal energy shields or something before we consider anything aggressive seriously."

"Bah, boring." Syn waved the notion away for a moment, "Though a good point, nonetheless. Let's take a look." He motioned for Timothy to join him in his search of the room. He wasn't sure if the larger would know what he was looking for, but it never hurt to have an extra pair of eyes and hands.

Syn started looking through drawers on the wall opposite the apparent firearm section, where he found some busted pieces of armour, but not much that could be put to use. He then started on one of a pair of large cabinets; each one looking like it could house a full-body suit of heavy armour. Sadly, the first one didn't, instead containing an empty supply rack for various things. He guessed that what they were looking for may have been here before, but wasn't now. That was frustrating.

Within the second cabinet was...something. It was vaguely human-sized, and had a large, dark cloth draped over it.

"Well, now, this could be interesting." said Syn under his breath.

'Whet sindet...?' Timothy asked, and he was looking quite perplexedly at the Thing, whatever it was, and then he reached out to remove the Piece of Fabric, and very carefully at that.

As the cloth was pulled from the shape, Syn cocked his head,

"Oh, hey, it'sWOAHBOY!" he said, startled. "Why is she missing half her face?"

Beneath the cloth there appeared to be a somewhat short woman, though this somewhat short woman seemed to be missing a great deal of...woman. Large pieces of missing flesh revealed a solid metal core, with various wires bits and bobs poking out.

"You know this, uh, robot?" asked, Raine, equally startled, though at Syn's reaction more than the robot in the cupboard.

"Yeah, old crewmate...G-something or other. I'm tempted to say 'string', but even I doubt that's accurate." He took a closer look at the storage cupboard and the robot within. She seemed to be in an awful state of disrepair, but luckily this wasn't just a weapons locker she was stored inside. "I think this is some kind of...monitoring or recharge station..There's a display under..Damn, that's borked too." he had reached just behind the station's frame and pulled forward the cracked screen, only to have it near-enough snap straight off of the wall.

"Way to go Red." Raine chuckled, taking great interest in the procedure.

"Hush, I'll fix it." Syn retorted, carefully removing the broken display and setting it down. He then began a quick, but thorough search of the room.

Raine barely concealed a snort when he came back with a very sharp knife, some wiring liberated from a caved-in wall panel, and a rather large rocket launcher.

"Syn, seriously, blowing her up will not fix her." She said in disbelief, only moments before realising that the launcher was empty, and rather broken itself.

"Hey, I'm not about to shoot her. Besides, there's no ammo left for this thing anyway." Syn placed the launcher's tube on the floor in front of the locker and twisted it, pulling up the targeting display and carefully removing it with the knife. "Did you ever meet that crazy Droid that used to hang out with the rest of us oldies? Nec, we called him. He showed me a thing or two when we were touring with an armoured convoy back in Cerrilia..."

With some harsh language, a few minutes and a lot of tweaking, he managed to wire up the launcher's display, and a few other little pieces of hardware, to the port that the broken terminal had been hooked up to.

"There we go, now we just need a little jolt, care to give us a light, Raine?" He asked grinning widely at his accomplishment so far. Raine seemed a little hesitant at first, but she biomorphed her arm from the elbow up regardless, a small, forked prong now extending from her wrist, which cracked lightly with bio-electricity. Passing this near an insulated wire that Syn help up carefully had quite an obvious effect, kickstarting the locker into life.

"..Good job." Raine couldn't help but mutter.

"Trust me, I'm as surprised as you are that it worked." Syn chuckled at Raine's alarmed expression, then waited for the display to load.

It was a simple, clean touchscreen menu, and would remind about anyone who knew what an iPad was of, well, an iPad. Overly simplified menu, lots of clear cut forms and big idiot-proof menu option buttons. The menus themselves seemed to be formed into vertical columns on either side of a centre information display. The centre information display currently had any number of flashing figures, percentages, indicator bars, errors and warnings, but somehow, you dear readers have probably already guessed that these will be promptly ignored in favour of the 'PRIMARY NODE OPTIONS' button in the extreme top left corner.

'Wha eswet sie ?' Timothy asked, and he was looking at the badly-damaged Machine-Woman and wondering just who she was and what had happened to her, and then he saw Raine make Lightning to help Syn with something, and this gave him an Idea.

'Fourdre ?' he asked, and he was looking right at Syn and Raine, and then he made what looked like a Spark of Lightning pass between his Fingers and looked rather anxious, as though he wanted to know if he could help.

"Ah, I forgot that you could do that too." said Syn apologetically, "I don't think we need another spark, the armoury itself seems to be self-powering, we just needed a little bit of a kick to get 'er going." He scanned over the pad in front of him carefully as he spoke. "You will, however, be the first to know the very next time we need a good electro-kick to the nuts...Ah, here we are." He had finally found the afore-mentioned Primary Node Options button, and pressed it.

Timothy watched rather blankly as Syn pushed a Button on the Screen; what a very queer Thing, having a Button on the Screen — such Machines baffle me at Times, he thought. He might have attempted some healing Magic on the very broken Woman, though he very strongly doubted that should heal her.

'Whet meit Ij meen ?' he asked. 'Ney licheth it me meeind nijt.'

He was asking, of course, what he could do, and adding that he did not like doing nothing, but he was very doubtful that he would be understood, and did not really fancy that his Words could ever reach the very broken Woman.

Selecting the General Diagnostics option, to better assess the situation, Syn was still having some difficulty picking up the larger man's meaning.

"I'm sorry dude, but we'll have to be patient here...Hey Raine, what do you think about sparring with him for a bit? Keep it friendly." Syn suggested.

"Really? That could either be good fun or a terrible plan." Raine raised an eyebrow. There certainly was enough space for a bit of swordplay, and then some, but with so many weapons around, and the possibility of being found by the Dromes... She took a few steps back into the middle of the room, where there was a fairly large clearing amongst the mess, and produced a bonesword from her wrist, which extended a good two-and-a-bit feet from her arm, blade first, before a hilt appeared. Taking the weapon in hand, he motioned to Timothy.
"Well, what do you think Tim?" she asked, motioning first to him, then to herself, then performed three very slow, simply swings with her sword, as though parrying an incredibly terrible, imaginary opponent.

Timothy was rather unsurprised when Syn showed no sign of really understanding him, though his Lack of Understanding was still quite conveniently clear. He was rather taken aback when Raine somehow did something which looked very like making a Sword from herself and then swung it about as if parrying some unimaginably poor Bladework.

I suppose she wants to spar — and that might be better than simply standing about, he thought, and then he readied his own Weapon — without, of course, adjusting the Screw, because he was not entirely certain what bad Things might happen if he used his new Weapon on somebody living. To answer her, Timothy simply repeated her Action and faced her and said 'Joh.'

The Menu retreated to a narrow sequence of buttons down the left side of the terminal, and the centre area enlarged again, extending to fill the empty right portion of the screen as well. It immediately filled with error messages and warnings and scrolled. And scrolled. And scrolled...

There were messages about aesthetic renderings and aesthetic moulds, there were messages about weapon systems and storage cavities, messages about balance indicators and self analytics and motors and stabilisers and optics and hardware mounts and joint bearings and retinal emulators and...well, there were a lot of messages. And if that wasn't enough, it seemed prepared to list more when it very abruptly stopped its scrolling, but couldn't.

After a moment's hesitation, Syn threw caution to the wind--they were locked in an emptied and junked arms locker with who knew what decaying weapons of mass destruction hidden in the walls while being hunted by dinosaur people intent on killing them, after all--and selected the second option. There was a sharp and loud pop and a cascade of sparks from the abdomen section of the robot ensconced in the maintenance node, and a spasm seemed to run through the motors, gears, synthetic muscle or whatever moved its upper body.

The mouth fell open and the one intact eye fluttered before settling open as well. It probably tried to speak, but all that sounded was a jumbled and halting series of phonemes in what was probably a female voice, sticking and jarringly repeating a few times. One that had stopped, the eye fluttered closed again, though the mouth remained hanging open. The jumbled mess of phonemes was replaced by a much clearer, if much more androgynous and digital voice, very obvious produced by a much less sophisticated voice synthesiser. The mouth did not move in conjunction with the words. Or at all.

Timothy was quite distracted from his Intent to Spar by some very odd Things which seemed to be happening with the Very Broken Woman.

'Whet sindeth...?' Timothy asked, and he was looking quite directly at her. 'Thet kesset Waaf... leeveth ?'

Though the Voice sounded rather unnatural and her Mouth was not moving, the Very Broken Woman did seem to be at least somewhat-alive, and, by the Sound of her, might well have been a Machine.

'Processing. Please. Process-ss-ss-ing Pl-please wait.' The node touch panel with which Syn had been interacting seemed to be working in conjunction with the broken robot, and accessed a databank of some sort. The processing mentioned seemed to be slower than it should have been, but it was hardly a surprise given the relative complexity of the task for the device in the state it was in.

After a minute it responded, the ambiguous voice speaking in Timothy's native Illyrian. 'Language identified as Clockwork Planet Illyrian. Please confirm or deny accuracy of assessment.'

'Bohemian Standard Illyrian, if you would be so kind,' Timothy answered — in his own Language, of course — and, though he was quite astonished to hear the very broken Machine-Woman speaking his Language, he found it rather pleasant to hear. 'Now can you please tell me where I am, and what is going on?'
