"It's just one of the many relatively pointless activities that human-ish people just love to do for recreation." Syn chimed in, "And I'm sure we'll be able to find something similar, if all else fails. If not, there'll be enough to try out that I'm sure you'll find something that you like."

"I'm just gonna say this now, I will not be carrying you back to the ship if you pass out somewhere, Syn." Raine said quite pointedly, folding her arms. "I'm not putting out any fires that you start either."

"Hey, I'm sure that they'll have more than adequate fire-safety protocols in place to handle me at my worst." he responded, feigning hurt. "And when have I ever needed someone to carry me? Y'know, excluding brief forays into underwater territory, and-or space. You can't hold type-disadvantages against me at this point."

"We'll see." said Raine, unable to hold back a little grin. Regardless of all else, she did somewhat enjoy her interactions with Syn. What was it about this ship and likeable red-heads? She decided that she was going to try and enjoy this time, no sense worrying after all, and she'd probably be able to avoid Caulder for the majority of it with little effort.. Syn, on the other hand, she didn't know what to do about... she shook her head. No sense worrying. Perhaps getting him drunk might prompt the slightest semblance of a serious conversation with him, for once? It could be a good idea to try and find out his side of things, and she had to admit that she was getting steadily more curious about things the more she calmed down about them. "I do wonder which of us can hold their drink best." She said after a few moments, "Might be worth finding out."

"I believe I can say with authority that Raine would win without indication of strain of any sort whatever sort of competitive drinking either of you could formulate," Cassius stated.

"Yeah, I'm not about to try and drink a Tyran under the table." Syn agreed, very readily. "Even I'm not that silly." he added, as though it were obvious. Perhaps it was.

"Pfft, spoilsports." Raine grumbled, folding her arms again and frowning. "So we've got the beach, drinks, and rides," she started again, changing track, "Anything other interesting things to do?" She liked the sound of swimming at the beach, and it would certainly be an experience for her, but unless these rides were built for someone with her natural adaptations, she doubted they would be as thrilling as they could be...

"There's probably a puppet show or a donkey ride or something, if you're scared of the big-kids stuff." Syn teased, poised and ready to capture a look of disdain that, to his mild frustration, never came. Raine regarded him coldly, with a look that just dripped of all the pain she could, and probably would, inflict upon him before their time at this facility came to an end. He lowered the camera. "Soooo.... We should be there soon, right?"

"Mind your footing, we should be there now," Shepherd answered. He reacted to a message on his comms. "Confirmed. Docking commencing now." There was a slight shudder, unexpectedly slight, as the frigate sized ship was pressed at multiple points by extending docking arms. "Since my guys have already been sweeping and monitoring this tin can for a while most of your docking procedures are already done." After a few seconds there was the sound of sliding heavy bolts and a slow PFFFFSSSSSS sound of equalising pressures. "I've been informed there's a welcoming party waiting for you upon disembarking."

"What kind of welcoming party?" M asked with mild concern. The special note of it after also stating that their docking procedures were more or less complete struck him as suspicious.

Shaina narrowed her eyes behind her shades and let her hand rest on her hip near her holster. "Not sure if will be arresting officers...or Lethain family reunion."

"If you were being arrested don't you think I would've made a move in that direction already?" Shepherd asked pointedly. "Actually closer to the latter."

The pressure adequately equalised, the smaller set of inset doors in the massive doors of the Main Hangar unlocked fully and pulled open, a whoosh of air still accompanying the remaining pressure imbalance, blowing the irony gray hair of a stoic but pleased looking figure gazing at the Realmers sidelong from behind a collar that did Cassius proud.

"I hear there's a Richard Lethain aboard?" The figure said more than asked.

"That depends on whom is asking, if you're here about backtaxes, I'm pretty sure he jumped out of an airlock somewhere in transit saying something about being able to pay once he gets his Christmas bonus." Richard said, still in his diminutive form.

"You don't pay taxes Richard," replied the Grey haired man. "It'd be redundant, seeing as you don't really own anything that doesn't already also belong to the company. Your hair gave you away." He added as Richard began to open his mouth. "I've been requested to show you around the place, since I'm the most qualified on the station to answer any technical questions you may have, since many of the developments were either made or improved by either myself or the men under me."

"Wait, Jack? I haven't seen you since you were knee high to a Cricket. Heard you were were doing well, good job." Richard replied.

"Please, it's Johnathan. I haven't been called that pet name in years. Well then, shall we?"

"So a high ranking company administrator is tasked with escorting us about an amusement park?" M observed inquisitively. "This makes me believe that the Lethain company, or family, doesn't seem to trust its patriarch."

"I don't blame them," Keris muttered under her breath as she scrutinised both the man standing outside and the scene behind him.

"The company's most significant benefactor has been away for a very very long time. Dear old grandfather has been away for a very, very long time." Jonathan stated matter-of-factly. He stood to the side and gestured genteely for them to disembark. "The company desires a show of respect and deference to someone who can still drastically change the gameplan to which some of them have very much become accustomed, and want it done with tact and diplomacy rather than letting some grunt start leading and finish being lead," he spoke the words in a lilting, bored tone that just barely hinted of flippancy beneath the hard business demeanour. "They seem to think I would have the ability to or be interested in dissuading my grandfather from turning their world upside down. Worlds. Systems."

The Realmers in the docking bay began to slowly file out, Jonathan walking to the side of the group as they traversed the connector passage to the artificial satellite. Shepherd and company followed at a discreet distance, assuming the military formation and gait they had been beginning to relax over the past few days. "The family, well..." Jonathan smiled, "wouldn't you be want to welcome back your crazy grandfather that for all you knew could have been dead? It's only too bad there's no family reunion. Of course that may constitute a mass migration to a rented moon at this point."

"I don't have a grandfather," Shaina said, popping her candy from her mouth.

"My grandfather is dead," Cassius replied. "Also I am to understand he would occasionally partake in the overzealous corporal punishment of my father."

Jonathan pursed his lips. "Interesting company you keep, Richard."

"Always liked my Grandfather." Richard said sheepishly under his breath. Resuming his normal speaking voice, he replied to his Great Grandson several generations removed, "I like to mix things up. Though yes, I seem to attract a disproportionate number of people with family issues. I'm just assuming Keris has an Evil Twin."
