Also known as the cockpit. This room contains most of the controls for the entire ship, from hyperdrive control to how much milk gets put in tea. The ship can be set to different courses here, and controls for the major guns and missiles are set here. Though one could control the entire ship from here, it seems whoever tries to use it now will have to coordinate with other parts of the ship containing the redundant systems, owing to the particularly dilapidated state of the bridge and the main computer, which seems to barely function at all, even running on safe mode. Blue Screen of Death must have gotten to it.

Before the Navigation and Piloting Stations are two chairs, one black and labelled "Commander" with a metal plate on the back of it, the other blue and with "Co-pilot" plated onto it.

Though looking as if it's been trashed, the entire room looks far beyond "structurally sound." It seems to have been built with some hardcore fighting in mind, protected from most attempts at break-ins, and the door could probably withstand a nuke.

Lord Sirriax stood atop the bridge, his gaunt, pale hands pressed carefully against the dented surface of the main control panel, the lifeless metal unresponsive.

Behind his dark, robe-swathed figure stood three figures; two of his finest soldiers, Elites within the Space Pirate horde with equipment, abilities and experience to match the rank, and one of his more interesting Students, the Ozian woman named Saoirse.

He had been pleasantly surprised when a patrol from his nearby Academy had come across this drifting gem about a month past, though the effort it had taken to actually get here was almost too much to be worth it. Even now his patience was being tested as he awaited the return of the creature he had sent to probe this ship's insides.

Though...something shook him, a slight chill had run up his spine, and he could feel a sudden, though somewhat small, discharge of energy somewhere on this ship. It took but a second to run a check on the minds of those Space Pirates he had brought with him from the Academy, and they had noticed nothing. But something was here, on board this ship...he couldn't take any chances, not now.

Sirriax turned his cowled head to look behind him, barely even showing his pale, narrow chin as he addressed his escort in a voice as cold and dead as the console before him.

"I feel...a disturbance...One that is too familiar for comfort. Saoirse, go and deal with it. My work cannot be interrupted."

Saoirse nodded at Lord Sirriax's order without looking at him and turned around to leave the bridge without hesitation, any chance to get away from him was warmly welcomed. Alert blue eyes took in the state of the room around her; in short it was a dirty mess, much like the rest of the ship that she had seen while following Sirriax. Her dark brown hair swept gently across the emerald green fabric of her jacket as she walked with near silent steps to the exit. Finally a chance to get away from him and those gross soldiers, chances like this never come fast enough.

Sirriax turned his attention back to the console almost as soon as the girl had left, his ghastly visage looking as if at something in the far distance.

"Yesss...what I need is here," he hissed as the small, pulsating blackness that was his Ing familiar literally bled through a small gap in space it had created, appearing just above the dark lord's right shoulder, only to float there much like some inky jellyfish.
"The engines themselves...yes, it is there, my pet. Soon you will be complete." he looked aside to the Ing at his right with a curious glint in the twin crimson pits that were his eyes, "Phazon, all that remains of the great world corrupting Phaaze...You two!" he glared back suddenly, addressing the two Elite Pirates that stood to each side of the only entryway that remained functional, connecting the Bridge to the rest of the ship, "You are to guard this room until I return. The intruders have already disposed of one team, I will not have them cause any more mayhem on my ship! Do you understand?"

The two Pirates gave a unified salute immediately, their expressions glazed over.

"Good. Good." Sirriax nodded, grinning an evil little grin as his Ing opened another distortion in space, sucking them both through it, and out of this realm...for now.

[As Jayge]

[From the Corridors]
Leave the second one to them, he thought as he drove the thrumming blade up, into the Pirate's neck where the armour was weak.

Purple blood splattered back across his arm and after but a split second's pause, the blade released its stored charge, blasting the Pirate back into the wall behind it with an impressive explosion of crackling energy.

Jayge could feel the creature's life energy deplete. He knew it was practically dead, however he wasn't about to give the other one a clear shot at him while he finished it off, and so rolled to his side, pulling his blade back behind him as he rose to fix the location of the remaining Pirate, still stunned by Shaina's impressive wire-works, on the opposite side of the entryway. He ducked behind a large console to keep from being the subject of the survivor's retaliation, and hoped that the others wouldn't keep him waiting for long.

Keris landed heavily on the prone creature's chest, fired off another shot at point blank range at the joint between the helmet and the body armour, then, with her free hand, ripped off the creature's helmet. This pirate was tough! Or at least its armour was. She had expected a blast from a plasma rifle from so close against what must be a weak point in the armour to have knocked it out, if not killed it outright, but amazingly it was still conscious and made a grab for her arms. Its grip was surprisingly strong, given that she herself was no weakling, but an adroit twist of her forearm quickly had her left arm free and she snatched her disruptor pistol from its holster and fired it straight at the pirate's naked face. The weapon's power setting had been on maximum and whole of the pirate's head, together with a patch of the surrounding floor, vanished into nothingness. Keris pulled her right arm and the plasma rifle from the pirate's now limp hand and jumped off smartly before the effect spread and its body began to disintegrate from the shoulders down. Within a couple of seconds all that remained was its armour.

Keris stood up and looked around, partly to make sure there were no further pirates lurking in corners and partly to reassure herself that none of her own party were trying to take advantage of her brief preoccupation to turn against her.

"Phew, turns out our new girly's pretty handy in a fight after all~" said Jayge in what was intended to be a complementary tone, poking his head around from behind his terminal "We should keep you around, methinks." he added as he stood up and strode across to his earlier victim, 'checking' the corpse for any signs of life via the traditional method. That was, he ran his sword through the chest and gave it a short internal roasting with his plasma coil on medium heat.

"And that, I'd say, concludes our business here...but where on earth could the big bad have gotten to?" the man remarked, looking about the control room for any sign of another person, though he could quite clearly sense that the room was empty, aside from the present company. "Shaina, that was fantastic work back there, fancy trying your magic wand at anything in here?"

Shaina hesitantly stepped into the room, wincing at the occasional popping and sparking from her antics. Not that she could have done that much damage by the looks of it. This place must have been a sty before she ever got her spanner on it.

"More like 'desperate tomfoolery' with a 'glorified hand tool,'" Shaina squatted quickly to examine the handiwork of the Romulan woman's eccentric weapon and the pirate's armour for a moment, "But sure, why not? 'Magic wand' does have a nicer ring to it."

Standing, she took a few steps more until she was in the centre of the not-too-big room behind a pair of important looking chairs. She stiffly and somewhat comically looked in one direction. Then another. Then another, before pushing one of the chairs, labelled "Co-Pilot," with her hand watching it turn just slightly. And creakily.

"Um...where would you like me to start...? I could start with the terminals that I fried, or the network relays that I fried, or the main computer that probably wasn't working by the looks of the gutted optics and then I fried..."

The cat padded softly through the door, mewing mournfully.

After looking at the trashed bridge, she wandered over to the chair marked 'Pilot' and jumped onto the seat. Very quickly, the cat was having a nap on the chair.

"Hmm...you do raise a good point." Jayge sighed, glancing at, and then raising an eyebrow to the cat and its somewhat odd behaviour. "..Odd little thing." he muttered, stepping closer to the chairs to take a better look around.

"I can't feel anything else in this room aside from us...if this guy was here, then he didn't stay long enough to leave a good impression." He placed his hand on the back of the still-moving "Co-Pilot" chair, gently stopping its spinning. So where did this leave them, he wondered. They didn't have much to go on, if anything... "Anybody got any ideas, short of going back to that knowledgeable fellow with the pile of corpses on the deck for a walkthrough?" he asked with another sigh, he hated being left without an obvious clue, it just made things all the more tiresome.

Keris had been about to object to the term "girly". It wasn't a word she had heard before, but it sounded patronising. But she thought better of it. If he was being honest about wanting to keep her around, that should mean he and his female companion wouldn't be trying to take potshots at her while she wasn't looking. That could be helpful, to say the least, so it probably wouldn't do to antagonise him.

She also noted that the man addressed the woman as "Shaina", and filed that snippet of information away in her head for future reference. She idly wondered what the man's name was, but quickly pulled her attention back to the far more important issue at hand.

In response to the man's question, she turned towards the bird woman - Saoirse, did she call herself?

"That man is not the only..." she hesitated as she tried to roll the somewhat complex foreign word off her tongue "...knowledgeable person on this ship. This woman said she was sent by Sirriax to kill us. She must know something about him. If that Sirriax is the person whom we seek," she added as an afterthought.

As the witch finally managed to get rid of the cramp in her wing she looked at the woman who had called her knowledgeable. "That's really flattering but all I know is that he's a very twisted..." she struggled to find the right word, "individual." Saoirse walked towards the center of the room, "I'm hardly his biggest fan, I'm just one of his projects. I know very little about him except that he stole me from my home planet and turned me into a messed-up hybrid. Where I come from witches don't have wings." She sighed and stretched the dark wings, checking to make sure she wouldn't get another cramp anytime soon, "I'm afraid I can't be much help to you when it comes to Sirriax."

"Hm, sounds like a real swell guy." observed Jayge, "Do you at least know what he's doing here on this ship? That would be a big help." he asked, pacing back and forth across the bridge, more bemused by how...familiar this act was to him than that someone as powerful as this Sirriax fellow was supposed to be would keep his underlings utterly in the dark.

"I mean," he added at last, voicing his train of thought as it occurred to him, "He came here to the bridge, but it doesn't look like he really did anything here...now he isn't here, so the bridge alone couldn't have been his target." He fell in quiet thought once again, still pacing, until he eventually muttered "What could this old heap have to offer a...what would he be really? A scientist or archaeologist or something? Why would he be here of all places..."

Something was evidently tickling him in the back of his mind...something that he just couldn't quite grasp, though whether this was obvious or not to the others was another matter entirely.

"What he wants isn't here," Saoirse spoke up after a few minutes lost in her own thoughts, "he's here to harvest something but I don't know what." She sighed and looked at the man, "I'm not exactly his right-hand woman. I'm not even sure he has anything like a right-hand man to begin with. He's extremely secretive, and besides all that, I'm not much more than a disposable pawn to him anyway." The witch nodded her head as if confirming to herself that she was indeed worthless to that psychotic man who had kidnapped her for whatever his plans were.

"He wasn't here for anything on the bridge?" Jayge scratched his temple as he asked, that was an interesting thought...why would he have come here, in that case...and why would he have left guards?
"Ah well, guess we're out of leads here then, perhaps he's after...okay, these memories of mine are really starting to tick me off." this time Jayge gave a shudder, shaking his head. "This guy will be after the fuel supply, pure Phazon, very rare, and very dangerous." he grumbled, hoping that nobody would ask how he could say this with absolute certainty. "I think it's definite now, just by the way. I've been on this ship before." he added, again in a lower grumble, as he left the Bridge.

Saoirse tilted her head slightly as she looked at Jayge curiously, What does he mean about memories? I'm pretty sure people usually remember their memories.

The Ozian-Avian hybrid's eyes narrowed when the man started to grumble in low tones, her Avian enhancements slowly kicked in and her bird-like hearing increased enough to barely make out what he was saying, Phazon? How does he know that when I'm the one that's been around Sirriax... And how could he have been here without knowing it? With a sigh she shrugged it off and followed him out of the Bridge.

Shaina leaned over and picked up the persevering feline that was pretending to sleep in the Pilot's seat but obviously wasn't, noting Jayge's passing judgement of it. He was right really; how would such a little creature have survived on the derelict ship? And, assuming it hadn't, why would the pirates or the Sirriax person bring it aboard? And if they had, why would they just let it roam? Questions, questions.

"That's all right, be as odd as you like," she lifted the cat a bit, "little girl. You deserve to be." She cradled the cat in the crook of her arm and began to gently stroke her as Jayge and Saoirse spoke, but listened and remained thoughtful.

As Jayge and Saoirse made to leave, Shaina glanced at the Romulan woman for only a moment before following, talking to the cat again as she did.

"You're going to need a name...Hmm...I'm thinking...Romanadvoratrelundar. It's the name of a very important person back home. We'll call you Romana for short."

Keris noted Shaina's glance.

She still doesn't trust me, she thought. It doesn't matter. I won't be lowering my guard just yet either.

Then she too headed back towards the corridor, following close on the woman's heels.

"You should not trust that animal," she advised as they passed through the doorway. "We do not know its purpose. The enemy may wish it to be with us. Maybe it is a spy."

Keris was feeling increasingly uneasy. She had expected to be confronting some powerful enemy, but all they had found were two weak pirates. Whoever their real enemy was had apparently vanished without trace, this strange small animal was following them around for no apparent reason, and the man, who seemed somehow to have made himself the leader of their little group, appeared to know things that he wasn't letting on. She felt she wasn't fully in control of her situation and that was something she normally tried to avoid at all costs.

M entered what...may have at one time been a bridge right on the heels of the bone man, and looked about. Nothing immediately appeared to be a communications device at first glance, so he hoped the voices from the comm unit earlier contacted him soon with further directions. In the meantime...

"Excuse me," he spoke to the bone man, "I am M. Are you of the crew of the ship?"

The 'bone man' turned about from their examination of the room, once again radiating an aura of general confusion.

"Uhm..no. I'm not. I take it you're not either then? That bodes well, I suppose." Finally, the 'bone man' placed its hand on its 'helm', and the carapace literally melted back to its neck, revealing a shock mid-length, straight black hair, and when the creature moved its hand, the face of a young woman. "I'm Raine, pleased to meet you, M." She smiled warmly. "Now lets see if we can't get this heap going the other way before we all burn to a crisp."

M hesitated, reaffirming his grip on his stun gun. It wasn't the transformation--he'd seen things like that aplenty--but the fact that this bone ma--woman wasn't part of the crew he came to help.

"If you are not of the crew, why are you helping?"

"I'm looking for someone, apparently they're on, or were on, this ship." Raine explained, looking pointedly at the stun gun. "So it is in my best interests to save this ship, and everyone aboard it."

"How very wonderful." said the voice from the hangar, the person it belonged to appearing out of both of their respective blind spots, despite them not overlapping.

Chaz moved between them. "I'll speak for the ship. I'm afraid I must admit that my arms are not quite long enough to work more than one terminal. And the rest of the crew are busy fighting a Sith in the fuel storage."

M relaxed his grip, and holstered the weapon behind his pulse pistol but didn't let down his guard. He was eager, not gullible. He almost regretted it as a third man entered the room from somewhere and established his position, but furiously fought against his instinct to shoot first and ask questions later just a bit farther. The man said "the rest of the crew," which would imply that he himself was a part of the crew. The only thing that gave M any real reason to doubt he could be crossing someone was the fact that the man did mention a fight. That meant more than one faction on board. That allowed more than enough room for deception.

In any case, there wasn't much else to do but follow. M hated the feeling of potentially being in the wrong for the simple reason of ignorance though.

"What...will we do?" M asked, again struggling with the proper phrasing, but ready to help.
