I'd certainly be interested in reading your Tyran Hybrid guide and, since it's relevant to characters who've already made an appearance, I think it would make sense to post it in the Realm rather than just sending it out as a PM to anyone who wants it. But, since it's apparently so large, I'm just wondering if it might be best to have the document hosted somewhere and post a link to it.

Well, I've put it together using the PM system (Being able to pm yourself is the best thing since ever, by the by), so it has all the forum formatting in place. I could always put it up in effective chapters in the writing section, complete with post-linked contents, and link it up here. Might even be easier for me to modify while it's up. I'm just not sure where to put it is all, and it still needs a bit of work ^^;

I must admit I was trying to work out where the best place to put it might be. It could always have its own thread in this forum, I guess, with a chapter per post. It probably depends on whether you view it as literature, in which case, the writing forum would suit it, or just RP-related background info.

I think Rp-related info is the most apt way to describe it. I'd hardly call it literature in any case XD
It would feel rather pretentious of myself to put it up as a topic in here though ^^; It would probably be best to post it...somewhere, then have a 'Contents' post up in the Handy Reference topic, as that would save a lot of space overall and keep things easy to find.

Perhaps you might post a Link — I'm rather curious myself.

That sounds like a good arrangement. Now we need to decide where to put it.

Perhaps the writing corner? I could always try hosting it on another forum. Actually, the old Realm could work, if it still, y'know, works xD;

So, Zeth and I were building a Stop gap RP for New players ((Such as Hilio with Falkner)) and New Characters for Regulars ((Such as Alts for myself and Dino)) since such characters are in a sort of Limbo whilst the story goes on.

So yeah. This will be a Realmverse RP, but as it is taking part in an area distinct from the Realm it's self Zeth decided to place it in the Forum's Regular RP section.

What you need to know are A: It takes place on a Space station. B: Your characters are effectively stuck there, with levels of prisoner versus interned guest based on how compliant your character is on the whole "No leaving" thing. C: Try to keep your character to reasonably powerful or lower. You know, in the Syn level range, rather than the Richard Level Range.

The Intended title for the RP will be "Space Station Squabbles". It'll be a little before I post the invitation thread, but for now you can process any characters you wish to add. Profiles will be in the Standard Realm style.

What do you mean you weren't looking forward to it before you knew it existed?

I think that the best I have so far is 'Abaraneids' [[s]almost[/s] lit: ribbed insects] for the Tyranid Hybrids, a race of gene-altering reptile/insect creatures which are still far too close to Tyranids in my head for my liking, and 'Ixcite' for Metroid Hybrids, which is a tribal-like race of humanoid creatures with similar abilities and life cycles to the Metroids. Any ideas/Opinions?

I like Abaraneids. I don't know enough about Metroids to comment on that one.

That goes without saying, but I'm supposed to be keeping these things on the down low, y'know. Timey-wimey and all that ><

I'm wondering about a massive ret-con, should I ever get enough settled with the two, but that may be far too complicated, confusing, and silly. I'll just stick to Tyranids and Metroids for now, and use the more original things should a new iteration of the characters be called for in a different thing. It's good to have some feedback though :)

I don't know if it actually matters to anyone or not, but I updated M's portrait in his profile.

And although it's far from perfect, I put up Shaina's "photoreal" portrait in her profile. I've been tweaking bits of pieces of it from almost a full year now, and still can't say it's really as good as it should be, but, well, I'm not a visual artist, so I can't do too much better. In any case, it be there.

I've also got another theme song each to add to Cassius and Shaina's profiles. I added one to M's a little while back while nobody was looking.

Thought you guys might be intrigued: this is the theme song for the next Apostle you'll run into.

Lyrics:
Spoiler: show
"The Toy Master"
(feat. Alice Cooper)

[Alice Cooper:]
Don't you be afraid,
come and step inside, take a look around
I'm your holy grail in your candy store to save you from the profound
They used to dream in only black and white
Can't you hear them scream, drowning in the tide

[Pre-chorus:]
Out in the cold, I see water frozen in their eyes
What a sorry sight
I am willing to believe they would pay for a smile

[Chorus:]
I'm the master of toys
and all you girls and boys
are welcome to my wonderland
I'm the angel of joy
And I'm here to paint the void
Welcome to my world

To my dream factory

Say hello to the gentleman with the paint
The deeper you're in the blue, the sweeter the sound of your plaints
If only I had a heart it would break — oh sure
And I wonder how much more they can take

[Pre-chorus sung by Tobias Sammet]

[Chorus]

I'm dealing in pain and a little Novocaine
Welcome to my world, to my toy factory

[x2]
No more struggle at the classes
No more struggle at the masses
On their knees, conformity
They all ready for a hero, they all flying at zero
It's their turn to crash and burn

[Chorus]

I come to bring you pain
And a little Novocaine
Welcome to my world, to my toy factory
