The room is lit not from any one central light source, but from a mix of candles and lamps, lanterns and some glow tape, and some things in glass bottles that glow in odd colors. The floor is tile, black and dark blue, with soft rugs spread over it patchily. There are chairs ranging from old, comfortable armchairs to swivel chairs repaired with duct tape. The room is cluttered with tables and countertops and cabinets, covered with machinery, tools, weapons and other bits of things-there is what looks like a complete doorknob set lying on one table next to a small black velvet case with a lot of thin metal implaments in it. In another area it looks as though someone has been making potions. One wall is given to a sliding door which leads out to a porch overlooking a desolate city, trees and plant life growing in the background, and between the cracks. Two moons are rising, one almost full, one red-gold and one ivory, bathing the forgotten city in their light.

Welcome to the Riftweavers workshop.
This is where the 'Weavers make things, repair things, examine things, or talk about things. So any running conversations or comments can go here. This is a 'Weavers only establishment, so if you're not a Riftweaver (no, not even if you're a Freikorps liason) don't post here without permission, thanks.

*Wanders in.*

Oh! There's actually someone here! Every time I've come in here recently, it's been empty. Hello, Lieutenant. I was hoping to ask Icarus about some of the interesting weapons that he keeps here, but he hasn't been around. Would it be ok if I joined you? It's boring in my quarters.

*Blushes at the thought of intruding on an officer.*

Oh, it is quite okay. Regardless to what Ike might think, I do enjoy other people's company.

*looks around*

IKE, IF YOU DON'T GET IN HERE SOON, I'M GOING TO START MESSING WITH YOUR STUFF!

I'd like to mess with his stuff.

Err.... that didn't sound right.

*Blushes again*

I mean, I'd love to find out how to use all of these things.

Err... Is carrying heavy pieces of tubing for no reason, while disguised as a little girl, a hobby of yours?

Simply put, Wonk Guns shoot a stream of wonks at you. A wonk is a subatomic particle that is extremely unstable, and thus takes the form of whatever it touches. It's very good for filling breaches or making people fat. Or instant callouses.

Instant callouses...that could be...painful depending on where it was aimed...

Oh, it can be.
Of course, it can also be quite helpful if one is about to walk over a bed of nails.

You would have to have some pretty hard callouses for that. I think wearing boots would be easier. Steel-toed boots.

Aren't steel-toed boots designed to protect you from things dropping on your toes? I think I'd prefer something with thick, hard soles.

*Suddenly realises who she's disagreeing with*

Ooh! Sorry, Captain. *blush*

Steel-toed boots have the best warnings. Like the guy getting hit by lightning in the foot.

How about some shoes with steel in the bottoms? Those would perform adequately, I am sure.
