"T-Minus 15 minutes. I am expecting a report, O'Donnel!", the voice from the intercom was heavily distorted by white noise, though both Cormag and the pilot were well aware that they were connected to Huang Mengfu, EO of Fenris and their direct superior regarding this operation.

"With all due respect, we've gone over this already, big boss. But I guess I can't afford being blamed for you soiling your underwear, can I? Right, here goes.", Cormag replied in his usual acidic manner. The Pilot, a remarkably young woman - short black hair, brown eyes, all over easy on the eyes, as Cormag noted, turned sickly pale. "We are at the designated position within the Argus Sector and we will begin the final approach in approximately 13 minutes, blah blah. Crew's fine so far - though that scary doctor lady is giving me the creeps, she's got implanted needles for god's sa-"

"Cut the shit, O'Donnel, I've got quite enough of your insolence. You go ahead and issue the briefing and tell Wulf to attend the com himself next time. Mengfu out."

As he left the co-pilot seat to head for the transport bay, he couldn't help but notice the pilot's sickly complexion, "Don't worry, newbie. The EO and I, we go waaaay back. He'll not have your hide for just being present, ..., probably."

He opened the door to the transport bay, chuckling, and left the cockpit. He took a moment before speaking up, to ensure he wasn't going to carry his disrespectful attitude over to the briefing, "Alright. In about 12 Minutes we will hit the station's sensor range, from that point it'll be around 2 minutes before we will access the target. And by access I mean we will ram headfirst into the closed hangar bay using a giant drill mounted on this shuttle's front. No that is no joke, haven't you seen it when we got on here?", he paused for a moment before continuing.

"This is going to be one rough landing, so fasten your seat belts, lest you want to know what being pudding feels like. The pirates will have had about two minutes to prepare by then, so expect heavy resistance within close vicinity of the landing zone. Wulf and yours truly will take point, everyone else: check for cover positions from within the transport, and pull out afterwards. This also goes for you, Riddick. Don't charge into open field right away with that razor of yours, since you ain't going to get paid when you get yourself killed and I'm sure you don't want to miss out on the cash, do you?"

He sat down next to the exit and started checking the state of his rifle and munitions. He shot Wulf an acidic glance, as well as a mischievous grin, "Anything to add, cap'n?

Wulf checked the safety on his shotgun. While this squad was composed of vets, he didn't want to take anything for granted. Cutting corners wasn't his business, at least it hadn't been for a good number of years.

"Watch for smoke grenades. Now they might be pirates, but I don't want to lose someone because we're careless. Check your gear and don't leave anything hanging out. Ammunition cook-off could be the end of us."

He loaded a clip of ammunition into his sidearm, and the returned it to its holster. "O'Donnel, you're the tip of the spear. If they aren't prepared for us, strike hard and fast, keep them off their footing. Oh, command has also let us know that the Tondam Corporation has an agent working in the station. We're to head to our objective and he, or she, will meet us there. Been told we'll know when we get there. We're supposed to pick him or her up along with us for the ride back, and I don't mean carrying any dead bodies, so keep your eyes sharp."

The middle aged man brought up a thick, rugged display from his hip. Flipping it on, he reviewed the schematics of the station, planning the squad's route.

Magda followed O'Donnel's instructions and strapped herself in securely. She had had to deal with victims of of collisions during her career: she needed no reminders about what happens to an unsecured body when a vessel's forward motion is abruptly reduced. Given the level of computerisation of just about everything, it amazed her that such accidents still happened at all. It just went to show the levels of idiocy that some human beings were capable of achieving.

Once she was satisfied with the state of her harness she turned her attention to her equipment and began readying it while their captain delivered his final briefing. Of course, the things he was warning about were things that any vet. should already know to be wary of, but there was never any harm in being reminded. This wasn't a job that let you go back and edit your mistakes! She loaded a clip into the gun at her hip, slipped a strong tranquiliser syringe into each chamber of her wrist gun, and checked that everything was functioning as it should.

"...Tondam Corporation has an agent working in the station..."

She looked up.

"They must really be getting desperate to get money out of me. They're even posing as pirates to lure me in," she remarked facetiously once Wulf had finished his announcement. But she sat alert, eyes bright and attentive, as he brought up the station schematics, ready to take in every detail he might want to impart to them.

Adora, typically restless, was out of her seat and stretching, half-listening to the conversation between O'Donnell and Mengfu. She kind of admired the audacity of O'Donnell to speak to the other man in that manner, and smiled a bit to herself. When the order came to strap in, she was checking her weapons, making sure all her various knives and daggers were strapped in properly, and her katana securely fastened to her back, in easy reach of her sword hand. The last thing she checked were her prized weapons - the custom-made gauntlets with their retractable blades. Flicking the mechanism in the palm, the razor-sharp blades slid easily from their casing, as usual. Adora ran a careful finger over the edge of her blades, marveling at the deadly delicacy. When she was finished, the blades retracted and she strapped herself in, rolling her eyes in a playful, exaggerated manner at the order from O'Donnell to take cover before barreling in, aimed specifically at her, as if she didn't already know.

Sitting in her chair, sized for people of average height, she was reminded unpleasantly again of her short stature; sitting up straight, her toes barely skimmed the floor. Then her gaze passed over Twitch, and she smiled. He was even shorter than herself. The little part of her inside that resented the short gene passed on to her from her mother felt a little mollified, knowing she wasn't the only unfortunate one. Bored, she flicked her blades in and out of their casing. Adora enjoyed the sight of them shining briefly and then retreating. Suddenly wanting to be intentionally petulant, she opened her mouth and said in a mock whine, "Hey! Hey, are we there yet?" Her eyes sparkled with amusement, a deadly picture of an innocent child, the smirk on her lips fighting to break into a grin. The pre-battle excitement was starting to get to her, and she found it difficult to pay attention to Wulf's station schematics.

"Aye, are we dere yet? I got ta throw a piss." Twitch piped in, in his usual manner, his feet swinging freely looking almost comically small in the large seat. He went through his usual pre-game inspection, not really listening to the layout speech, as he'd memorized the blueprints before the mission. While everyone else would be storming the castle, He'd be sliding through steam vents, and heating ducts, planting explosives, and causing mayhem. His crowning touch is, the explosives would cripple, but not destroy, or make completely unsalvagable, in case it was to be reclaimed later. This of course didn't matter to him. It was all about the boom. Also mayhem.
He finished checking his harness, and pockets, and finished by loading his primary weapon, the large rocket launcher strapped in the seat next to him. It towered over him strapped in, but very few would laugh to see the little bastard weilding it, especially since they would soon find it leveled at them.
As the seconds wore on, he began to bounce against the straps, his adrenaline pumping. He became a little ball of energy before a mission, almost annoyingly so. He reached into a pocket, and produced one of his little black cigars, lighting it, enjoying the smoke swirling about, not caring if they were in a small area, or not. He flashed Adora a smile, before hunching down, looking like a little kid about to ride his favorite roller coaster.

Cormag nodded at Wulf's explanation, keeping all kinds potential witty remarks to himself. Instead of letting out his inner jerkass he decided to focus on his equipment. Without any magazine plugged into the Mammoth he disengaged and re-engaged the safety. He went on to check the scope, and let the ALS run diagnostics - the band-aid-system that regulated the tapping of the gas-pressure, allowing the assault rifle to fire it's 12 mm rounds automatically. All the while he discretely checked his squad mates.

Magda, though that arm of hers still managed to amaze him and freak him out at the same time, appeared professional enough. Apparently she had some personal problems with Tondam Corp. but that really was none of his business. Cormag couldn't help but chuckle at the witty remarks of Twitch and Riddick. He cocked an eybrow, resisting the urge to use their act at being childish to bring in a joke about their body size. He read the dossiers, and he did not feel like pissing off a woman who probably had more knives in her pockets than he had rounds in all his magazines combined. Antagonizing a cranky dwarf who could well blow him into a stable orbit around the next sun didn't sound appealing either.

He settled for a more subtle remark, "Y'know, we're on our way to a sortie, not to flaming candy mountain, alright?", he shot Twitch a meaningful look, "Make sure you piss in the enemy's face, will you?", and proceeded to address Adora nodding at her shivs, "And you should probably go for a manicure next time we've got shore leave, those nails of yours are fierce."

An indicator on his visual overlay announced the final decent upon the station, "Alright, everybody, brace yourselves."

---

The entry of the assault transport was always a turning point in an operation such as this. If the velocity was too high, the drill would shatter, and the whole transport would make about the same impact as a fly on the front shield of an air bike, too slow and it would get stuck. Apparently, their pilot was pretty capable, as she maneuvered the shuttle perfectly. The landing, however, was still far from being delicate, as the transport impacted the landing bay's floor at a rather steep angle, flipping over, and proceeded to slide half across the bay before finally coming to a halt.

---

During the upside-down slide across the bay, Cormag had already removed his seat belt, landed surprisingly elegantly on his feet. The shuttle wasn't yet fully decelerated, when he disengaged the transport compartment's door lock, opened the door and charged right out. The difference between being a good vanguard or a dead one mostly depended on a single factor. The element of surprise. And in this case their enemies still had their pants down, when he charged out. Quickly running away from the still sliding vessel, he scanned the bay. Apparently it had been vacant until right before their attack, as the only adversaries were streaming out of a blast gate. Cormag lunged behind a chunk of non-volatile debris - apparently a forklift that was knocked over by the sudden change in air pressure.

He had just began to open suppressive fire at the pirates charging out of the blast door, when he discovered a alcove containing a handheld extinguisher. He proceeded to fire a short burst at the device. Much to his delight he struck home, damaging the extinguisher's casing and leading to a deafening decompression blast, that knocked most of the opponents around the blast door to the ground, and focusing the attention of the remainder solely on Cormag.

Cormag barreled out and threw himself behind a toppled forklift, securing cover for himself and distracting the defenders from the far side of the bay. Fetching a smoke grenade from his vest, Wulf activated the handheld device and lobbed it with his left hand out of the shuttle between the two parties. Even before the smoke grenade went off, Wulf's hands were already unlocking a second grenade, going through the same motion again but with additional force, clearing the second device clear past the smoke grenade and at the base of the doorway on the other side, covering the other end of the docking bay with copious amounts of thick smoke. Looking over to Twitch, he made a series of hand motions indicating the request of explosive force. With that, he took a peak out of cover, and a second later leapt out from the shuttle and slid his way to a flipped over cargo carrier. Leaning over to the side, he emptied a few shots from his shotgun into the pile of smoke created moments earlier.

After the impact, Adora unstrapped and flipped, landing gracefully on her feet. She waited a brief moment for the people with long-range weapons to go before her. After Wulf threw his smoke bombs, she ducked out of their ship and darted to another one of the forklifts, hiding behind one of the large wheels. Her hiding spot was right at the edge of the smoke field, and from her vantage point she could easily see anyone coming out of the grey mass. When they were choking and looking for gunmen, she could quietly come up behind and slit their throats before moving along to the next. They seemed slow in coming, thanks to the blast facilitated by Cormag, and she got impatient waiting for them to get their act together, dancing from foot to foot. If it weren't for Cormag's warning to not go barreling in without cover, she might have. As it was, though, she rather admired the man and wanted to earn his respect. So she waited.

Unlike some of her more impetuous colleagues, Magda was in no hurry to free herself from her seat. Although hanging upside down in the harness wasn't comfortable, she knew she could afford to wait until the craft had skidded to a halt before she needed to move: O'Donnel would be taking point, so that would give her a few extra seconds. By the time their vessel was stationary and she had grabbed hold of the harness for stability, released the catch, and swung her feet down on to the former ceiling, the gunfire had already begun.

She reached the door just as Argoyle landed a smoke grenade in front of the cluster of pirates by the blast door across the bay. A second throw and he was gone, followed immediately by Riddick. With just herself and the dwarf left on board, she now had a clear view ("clear" being a rather figurative term - the smoke obscured most things pretty thoroughly) towards their targets, and the hull beside the open hatch provided good cover. She would wage her battle from here: with her team-mates out in front of her she could keep an eye on them - all three who were out so far were just about visible in the smoke-filled atmosphere - and be ready to jump in with assistance if anyone went down. Already her gun was in her hand, safety off and ready for action. No need for the subtlety and silence of the prosthetic dart gun; this was already a pitched battle, and the noise created by both parties had most likely already alerted the entire station's complement. No need for careful targeting either. Just aim at the smoke and hope to stop as many as possible before either they emerged and found her colleagues, or Twitch got one of his explosives in and hopefully put a stop to the whole lot of them. Keeping as much of herself as possible shielded by the compartment wall she raised the gun and commenced firing.

upon the initial impact, Twitch counted out the seconds. When the door was blown, he waited for another hard jolt, using it to shoot him out of the hole, like a little angry ball of death. Thanks to his small size, he went sailing across the hanger, and into two pirates not expecting death to come flailing at them, waving razor sharp combat knives. After taking them down, he took a fast side roll to a vent cover, opening it up with lightning speed, pausing a moment to send a few grenades skittering across the floor to another group of pirates firing on them, before vanishing down the chutes. a few moment later, and Hell and fire starting raining on the pirates, as the ceiling over the main group started collapsing, before a huge section fell in, leaving a convenient ramp up a large maintainence tunnel.
"a'right, kids! le'ts get a move on. Ah'm fairly certain, they know we're 'ere!"

Seems like everything's going according to plan, Cormag mused, well, plan is far too strong a word. Now it's time for some good old improvisation. He looked over to Argoyle, whistled and proceeded to show him a handful of cryptic hand signals. It was unlikely that any surviving opponent, or teammate except for Wulf, would be able to figure anything out from the signs. He, however, did not wait for any response, but vaulted over the forklift, racing straight towards Twitch's laid open maintenance tunnel.

As he ran across the hall, the smokescreen began to dissolve, revealing a group of five slightly disoriented pirates crossing Cormag's path. The unlucky first barely had enough time for a frightened stare as he was torn apart by a burst of the Mammoth's slugs. The second did not have to wait much longer, as Cormag smashed the stock of his enormous rifle into his throat. The other three were apparently spared a gruesome death at Cormag's hands, as he raced passed them leaving them to watch his back, as they in turn turned their back on Adora...

Even though they didn't hesitate long before opening fire, Cormag was gone through the tunnel too fast for them to pin him down. Portraying the layout of the station before his inner eye, he raced through the small tunnels, secretly envying Twitch and Adora for their small frames.

---

When he finally dropped through a vent he did not hesitate to smash a fire alarm button with an almost casual motion before sprinting towards a emergency door. If all goes as planned this will draw quite a bit of attention away from the command center. He had to slide under the door as it was already closing. As he stood up he found his destination - the engineering bay, where he assumed the black box was being held - alarmingly silent and dark. After his eyes adapted to the room's darkness, he began to make out what appeared to be the aftermath of a major massacre and a shockingly small silhouette standing among the corpses, ...

Wulf caught Cormag's signaling and gave a curt nod, although the reaction was rather fruitless as the man vaulted over his cover and was already halfway across the hall before Wulf could poke his head out of cover. Cormag quickly dispatched two pirates and vanished out of sight down a maintenance tunnel. The other three pirates were eliminated in rather bloody fashion as Wulf made use of the distraction to advance across the room. Motioning to the other squad members to move up, he shoved a few shells into his shotgun.

It seems like things are going a little too well. I expected a more organized resistance, but it looks like nobody is around.

"The command center is a bit a ways away. Shouldn't take us too long though I'd expect to see more friendly welcome parties along the way. Keep your eyes sharp and your trigger finger sharper." Wulf took a glance at the next hallway before moving out with his shotgun ready. He barely reached the next intersection before two very confused and rushed men dashed across the hallway, failing to notice the squad until Wulf introduced a shotgun slug to one of their stomachs. The other barely had time to turn around before her head exploded.

This explains quite a bit. They might actually be busy with whatever Cormag's got his hands into. Let's see if we can screw up their response while we're at it.

Wulf took out a portable torch from one of his side pockets and applied liberal amounts of heat to the electronic interface panel on the other side of the intersection. Moving back over onto the corridor they were on, the former policeman slammed his armored fist onto the emergency close button, causing a bulkhead to come down. Hopefully they'll think we went down that way.

"That should keep them busy for a while."

As Cormag vaulted out of cover, Adora followed a short distance behind, dashing from cover to cover. As he spared three of the pirates, they stared after him, and she came up behind, sliding her blades out of their gauntlets and slit the throats of two quickly, leaving the third to look at her in surprise, before sliding her right blade into his gut, like slicing through soft butter. As he slid off, already half dead, she kicked his gun out of reach. Satisfied that he was dead, or as good as, she quickly followed Wulf and Cormag. Entering the dark tunnel, she slipped along in the shadows, quickly catching up to Cormag. "What's next, boss?" The excitement of battle had her completely energized, her blades dripping with blood. As she ran, she retracted them, leaving the casing of her gauntlets to clean them (mostly) with it's built-in self-cleaning mechanism. Later she would go back and polish them herself, but for right now, it would have to do. For range, she retrieved a couple throwing knives from her belt. The gauntlet blades would come later for closer combat.

Ok, they were moving out. Magda knew her brief was to accompany Argoyle. O'Donnel would have to fend for himself and hope he didn't require any medical attention in the meantime. With a final look around to make sure no other pirates were lurking, she jumped down from the hatch and dashed to join Argoyle, gun still at the ready. Argoyle was already on his way through the door to the corridor by the time she reached him. A pirate nearby, who had been stunned by the fire extinguisher explosion, and had been lucky enough to avoid being crushed by the falling ceiling, suddenly found his luck had run out. He began to stir as Magda passed him. A quick press of the trigger and he wasn't stirring any more.

Two pirates appeared at the next intersection. Magda was quick to target them, but Wulf was quicker. Before they knew what had hit them their corpses were lying in a messy heap on the floor. Wulf then proceeded to seal off one of the corridors.

"Good tactic," she agreed. "Which way now, Captain? Continue down this corridor?"

Small explosions could be head ahead of the main group, as Twitch rigged small tactical bombs, to set the sensors haywire, being rather effective. This would offer them cover, so they could move rather freely, without waves of pirates being sent after them. Sliding along on his stomach, the crazy little bastard, paused a moment, finding a data junction box, slicing in, and hacking the cameras a bit, finding a concentration of enemies ahead of Cormag, and Riddick. He fell backward into the vent drop next to the box, timing it, so right before he would fall out completely, he flipped his toes out, to catch on the lip of the vent, busting through the grill, and hanging by his feet, over a group of rather surprised Pirates. "Now fellas, I knew ya loved me, but ya don't have to go trowin' me a light show!" He quipped rather off-handedly, as a barrage of laser sights zeroed in on him. Unphased, he closed his eyes, and crossed his arms, letting go with his feet, and unleashing a hail of Steel Ball grenades, filling the air, with bullet speed projectiles. ON the other side of the closed hatch, a rapid fire of pinging could be heard, before the Midget of Doom opened it, grinning and covered in fading welts. " Sorry to steal yer fun, boss. But ya know how I hate an ambush, on me own team." Walking over to Adora, he reached up, and wiped off a smudge of blood from her face. "What's yer score, 'ellcat? I'm pretty sure I'm a'ead." it was a game they played, who could score the most kills. While he would often rack up points in volume, she was more than capable of besting him. it was at those times, he was especially proud of her. Since teaming up with her, something paternal clicked in him, talking the young girl under his wing. Heaven or Hell help anyone who managed to lay a hand on her.
Something plinging against his battle harness drew him back from his Proud Papa moment, as he whirled around to see a pirate trying to draw a bead on his head. Locking gaze with him, he calmly lit a cigar, keeping that Thousand Yard stare boring through the young would be shooter. The youth's knees began to shake, as Twitch cooly strode over, unsheathing his knives with a spinning flourish. The pirate dropped her gun in fear, trying to run, but running into a bulkhead, falling over onto her back. Very gently, yet firmly, Twitch put a foot on her chest, still spinning his blades, as he looked down to her. "well, now, seems I've got me a captive.... Now it's up ta you, if I keep my reputation for never takin' any."

Wulf frowned as Twitch secured himself a captive in his own special style. Being in a hurry, it wasn't the best tactical option. At the same time, shooting someone out of a squad mate's grip seemed like an act in cold blood. He didn't want to give away too much either. Either way, it wasn't a development the man was happy with, but he had to live with it and make the best use of the situation. At the very least, the former policeman, having sealed off the passage from which the pirates they ran into had come from, could be certain that there wouldn't be any more investigation coming from that direction. Still, there was still something troubling him.

If they were reacting to our break-in, they should have been heading this way. Only there are no alarms, and that bunch was clearly not focused on our intrusion. Cormag either must be doing his job well, or Tondam's agent is creating some mighty havoc. Their C&C seems to be down as well. The engineering bay is further ahead, and they were running straight across, which makes it unlikely that they were heading for that area, making the first situation unlikely. Should probably link up with O'Donnel before he gets overwhelmed by reinforcements or before they prioritize us. I'm not a fan of human shields, but it seems like we have no choice but to take her with us and deal with her if she becomes a liability.

"Keep moving. If she becomes a liablity, dump her." He continued, but at this point the fire alarm began blaring and cut off the rest of his words. Instead, the leader switched to hand signaling, pointing foward. Then he pointed to Twitch's newfound "prize," and made what hopefully were easily comprehensible hand signals regarding a certain motion across one's neck. Then he turned and cautiously advanced down the hallway.

-----------------------------------------------

Diana put a bullet from her pistol into the upper spinal cord of the last gunman, a middle aged man, who promptly collapsed to the ground, unable to move. Holding her sidearm at chest height and casually ejecting the clip, the girl sensed Cormag before she heard him. The fire alarm promptly blared into action as the well built commando slid into the engineering bay. She whirled around as he stood up, but didn't finish reloading the gun until nearly a second later, still holding the firearm close to her body. She grasped the weapon with both hands and fired at the intruder, categorizing him as another pirate. Only he was no longer there, nearly closing the distance.

He's fast..!

However, at this range it was nearly impossible to miss. The problem was, the pistol had already ejected a round and was in the process of chambering another one.

It had occured to him right away that this was tondam's inside agent, after all they had a tendency to pull the most insane stunts. What hadn't occured to him was that he might not quite look the part of a regular Fenris mercenary. It took a moment to realize the girl's intention when she aimed her pistol right at him that he was in for some friendly fire. When he did, he dashed ahead, choosing to avoid her fire by taking a parabolic approach.

"Sto- I'm with ..." His attempt to negotiate was cut short when she adopted inhumanely quickly to his approach vector.

Bloody Hell... She's fast!

The momentum of his bull rush kept him from dodging as she ejected a round straight at him. Though unable to evade the bullet he managed to relax his muscles in time before being hit. He gasped loudly as the bullet impacted his sternum, bringing him almost to a complete halt. The armored underlay had caught the bullet halfway through, but the impact by his solar plexus came close to knocking him out cold.

He snapped out of his shocked haze as he heard the familiar click! of a empty clip. Apparently the Tondam agent had overextened on her ammunition. Allowing him to resume his charge.

"Click..." And the pistol ran empty. Diana had put a round into the newfound intruder, but he recovered quickly and was nearly on top of her in an instant. With no time to put the firearm away, she grabbed one of her knives with her left hand jabbed it where she thought he was going to go. He was barely fast enough to get out of the way, and launched a counterthrust of his own. The girl threw up her gun arm and managed to redirect enough of Cormag's momentum so that she could feel the wind on her cheek. She bent her knees a little as to be prepared to spring in either direction. At this point, the wiry commando towered over her, although that sort of situation was something Diana was used to. What she was not used to, however, was how the lean, muscled warrior was able to keep up with her motions, if barely. After parrying Cormag's fist, she dropped the empty pistol and brought her arm around and threw a punch at his side, hoping to at least break his concentration so the young girl could follow up with her other hand on a more lethal attack.

Moving with lightning precision, he secured her with some fast ties, and threw her over his shoulder, keeping her alive, mostly in case they need a retinal scan, or some piece of information, but also some odd twinge in him told him to keep her alive, for whatever reason. Being a man who's job was to essentially make Hell a reality, he had learned long ago to listen to these twinges. Giving her a look of warning, he drew his blades across each thumb, letting them drink, before putting them away.
Pushing her ahead of him, he moved on, finding a terminal, to take care of that damned fire alarm. making a few more keystrokes he activeted a few security measures in areas of enemy troop movement, laughing at how "organized" paramilitary groups always made such glaring mistakes in this hi tech era.
"I'd not go tha' way, Ninj..." he smirked, as Riddick went to open a door. " I've left some fun and surprises in there. Good ones." He took a deep puff off his cigar, before being bodychecked by his capitve, a bullet lodging in her shoulder, where his head had been seconds ago. Cursing, he sent a blade spinning through the air, into the shooter's eye, before giving his pet pirate a nod of thanks.

The agent's first strike caught Cormag's attention for a moment, his instinct however alerted him of a ruse. Instead of defending against the punch he let it impact his side, with barely any impact on him. He averted his look from the feint and found her other hand just in time. A short leap backwards kept her from disemboweling him with her knife, the blade missing his belly by the breadth of a hair. He brought the knuckles of his right hand down hard on the hand holding the knife, causing his opponent to drop her blade. Her close combat skills are superior to mine, and she's faster. But probably not fast enough

Her current position made it easy to dodge towards both sides. Cormag, however, guessed that she'd have trouble varying the distance between them. Instead of going for a direct strike he spun, sending a sweeping roundhouse kick her way, in an attempt to hit her regardless of her shifting to the side.

Cormag hadn't fallen for her feint, and instead dealt her a nasty blow by bringing down his fist on her knife hand, causing her to drop the weapon from the force of the blow. She drew her arm back, and ducked underneath the commando's roundhouse kick. She swept in, fist pumped in reparation for a chance at his gut. Only Cormag recovered more quickly than expected after his kick and the girl had to back out midway into her advance in order to avoid meeting Cormag's fist with her jaw. She swept again to his side, hoping to use a closer proximity in order to negate the range advantage provided by the Cormag's longer reach. The young girl dodged an elbow by Cormag as she pulled down and to the side, leaping in an attempt to give the Fenris agent a strong uppercut as he turned around to face her.

Cormag let go of a muzzled grunt as Diana's fist crashed into his jaw. While failing to cause any significant damage by itself, the concussion took quite a bit of a toll on him. It had been a while that he was pressed this hard in a fight, and frankly Cormag couldn't remember one opponent alone assaulting him like that. In an attempt to get the control over the situation back, he seized the opportunity posed by the reduced range. Firmly grasping the Tondam Agent's shoulders he snapped up his knee, aiming for her midriff.

Diana felt her fist make contact with Cormag's jaw, although the successful move didn't come without cost - shock and a sense of pain ran down her arm as her body was not used to such an all-out attack. However, she felt suspended in the air for a moment as she felt the commando's next move; although she felt it coming, without any surface to orient herself on and anything to push against, she could only grimace as the knee impacted against her stomach. The force of the blow took all of the air out of her lungs and she barely managed to make it to solid ground on her two feet. Though that was rather moot as the stunned girl could barely move her dazed body before Cormag followed up with a solid hit to her chest that sent the Tondam agent sailing into a pile of containers at the opposite end of the room.

She didn't move.

"For once I wished Tondam sent a suave, good looking agent classic with a fetish for Aug-Commandos. But no it has to be Chucky the killer doll...", he went over to Diana's collapsed form to check for live signs, "Bloody Hell, one would believe that they've got Assassination-Kindergartens up and running now."

After affirming that she was neither in danger of imminent death nor prone to leap back up and stab him in the face any second he proceeded to scan the room for the black box. When he finally found an ominous suitcase in the relative darkness of the engineering bay, he became oddly aware of the ominous silence that has taken hold. He'd expected that a fire alarm would be a lot more noisy, but he couldn't make out any sound but the low hum of the computers and instruments in the bay.

At least until the blast door emitted a churning sound, sliding back up. Something, or someone, must have disabled the alarm, foiling his plan of keeping the bay shut off the rest of the station. Disgruntled he took point near the blast door, after pushing a sturdy looking cargo box over.

"Hey Oyabun! I hope you're finished with whatever you're doing regarding the command bay. I've got a hunch that someone has broken the seals, and the apocalypse is going to unfold right now!", he commed to Wulf.

Wulf had barely turned around before Twitchall already dispatched the newly appeared assailants, although his captive seemed to have taken a particularly bad sting in the process. While he personally didn't care too much for it, the injury would be a distraction at the very least, and much more than that at most. He motioned Magda to get to work, and before he could add some verbal comments to that, the comms broke through with Cormag's signal.

"Hey Oyabun! I hope you're finished with whatever you're doing regarding the command bay. I've got a hunch that someone has broken the seals, and the apocalypse is going to unfold right now!"

The background noise was a bit much for what the commander had hoped, though thankfully the situation was still salvagable. The engineering bay was accessible from the current hallway in a relatively short period of time, and it wouldn't be an especially large detour. Given how disorganized the pirate resistance was, Wulf's squad would probably be able to ambush whatever Cormag had run into. He sent a quick reply.

"We'll make a detour. ETA two minutes." He quickly switched off the comm, and pushed another shell into his shotgun.

"Feinmann, fix up Twitchall's friend quickly, and then you all catch up with the two of us." The 'two of us,' meaning Adora and himself. "We'll be taking a detour to the engineering section. O'Donnel ran into more than he can chew, and we're going to need to bail him out."

With that, he finished reloading his armaments and dashed down the hallway. While splitting up, even if a little, was risky, it was better than having a good man dead. A risk he was wiling to take.
