Hahaha. I didn't have him in mind at all, but I do see the resemblance. :D And Klavier would certainly make a very good elf. He even has a suitable name. Perhaps the embassy could employ him as their legal advisor. :P

Name: Richshiir Leud Elbe tzu Holt
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Takaran
Age: 101 (Just entered his second century)
Appearance:
The best way to describe Leud Elbe would be...”gaunt.” If you took the time to study him, you'd realise he actually isn't what “gaunt” actually means. He just sorta...has that look to him. Somehow. It's kinda like how all of his wide range of expressions from sad to happy to excited to melancholy and everything in between seem to be crossed with an element of pain or sadness. It's not his fault, that's just how his face is. Perhaps it's that zymaticiousness of his face that makes it seem like his cheeks are more hollowed than they are, or the slant of of his eyebrows and the lines between them that always make them look as if his face were always trying and failing to hide some deep worry. In any case, his distinguishable face is framed by mid-sized sideburns that meet those prominent cheekbones and, along with the hair on his head, a deep dark brown. It contrasts sharply with his pale Takaran skin and light blue eyes. His nose is of average size and has a pinch to its bridge that fits his butler-esque role well, somehow. From his appearance and demeanour, one could almost mistake him for a the tut-tutting didactic type of person. He can be, but isn't really, at all.

Apparel:
Leud is a fairly forward thinking dresser on the one hand, but also very conservative and...somewhat drab. Not depressing drab, but clearly submissive drab. There's a difference there, somewhere. He wears a linen shirt with an attached collar and a matching cravat (though he has been known to forget the cravat and leave the top collar open at times; usually when he is in a hurry or knows he will be very active) and nearly always longer riding breeches tucked into his Hessian boots. Of the boots he has two pairs: a dress pair with a tassel hanging from the front point approaching the knee, and a casual pair that he wears more often, and that have a more even top with a small fold. This latter pair are of softer leather than your typical Hessian boots. When the weather is fairer, Leud will wear a light jacket that ends just before his knees. When the weather is less favourable or when needed to look more presentable (that is, more often than not) he wears a double-breasted long frock with a sizeable collar (because elves love collars) that is mostly black with some red and silver accents and silver buttons; red, black and silver being the colours of House Holt.

In his current position and location, Leud nearly always carries his sword, a shorter Takaran warblade of average enchantment, but of superior quality. (Never let it be said that House Holt doesn't take care of its generationally loyal.) It is not named; this is his second sword and he has had it for years, but it isn't that special. He also frequently carries a Dragonlock, though this is left behind when Leud judges it the better part of discretion.

Social Station: This one's tricky, because by description you'd assume he straddles Middle and Upper Class, but he's technically Petty Nobility.
Bane Calibre: N/A
Political Alignment: Takara, but more specifically House Holt
Occupation: This one's easy: whatever the current Lord Holt desires him to, that's his job.
Weapons Proficiency:
Sword: Exceptional
Pistol (and Dragonlock): Very Good
Musket (and such): Very Good
Polearm: Fair

Titles: Richshiir tzu Holt
Living Family:
Leud was an only child, and his father has recently passed away. His mother, Mariena (196), still lives in Holt, usually overseeing the general day-to-day activities of the House's personal property when someone of a higher rank is not present. Sometimes when they are but can't bother, too.
He has an uncle and aunt and two female cousins who live in Varsovia. Father's side.

Personality:
Leud is exceptionally meek and humble for an elf. Even for a human to a degree. He is soft spoken and generally disposed to acquiesce whenever possible, though that is not to imply that he's a push over. He is a patient and long-suffering man to whom duty is the greatest part of life. He has a conscience, very strong one that will prompt him to speak when he feels it's appropriate, but he is also doggedly loyal to the title holder of House Holt. One does what one is supposed to do.

Biography:
From birth, Leud Elbe was a Richshiir tzu Holt, i.e. something of a cross between an indentured servant and petty noble of the territory of House Holt. In layman's terms, it is a title born by the Elbe family but also tied to the House Holt. From his perspective, this fact has rendered his life to this point fairly uneventful. Compared to his predecessors, he doesn't really stand out in any way. They served House Holt, and so does he. Of course, from the commoners' perspective, it must have been some sort of interesting: he does serve a noble house, after all. Not exactly a mainstream one, either. House Holt had...opinions. Leud was raised in a privileged manner and around the higher nobility and it shows. He's quite cultured and knowledgeable and knows his way very well around a sword and firearms. Maximillian's father saw to that, since he (and his successor Maximillian, by extension) would want their arms to be as competent and versatile as elvenly possible.

Leud's first true “experience” in life that he would cite would be serving as Colonel Maximillian vam Holt's aide-du-camp in the Richshyr. As such, Leud can legitimately claim experience as a military man with a rank of Ridmeister, although one could say he took an absolute shortcut to get there. This isn't exactly uncommon, since favoured Richshiirs are accepted as following their lieges to to their posts. It's seen as more efficient and effective to allow a familiar team to co-operate and function together. He also happened to be present when the incident that ultimately claimed Lady Major Verakura vam Holt occurred. She had insisted on continuing to drill with her troops during her pregnancy with her daughter, in light of her doing so with her son seven years prior and doing just fine. Unfortunately, the horse she was riding when labour began upset, and she fell off and back first onto a cross member, breaking her spine. Leud did a great deal in helping to relieve her pain and fortify her before and still after Maximillian arrived and the baby was desperately delivered. She died shortly after birth. Experiencing first hand what was a very much life-diverting event in his Richsgraav's life solidified Leud's loyalty to Maximillian far more than it could have ever been naturally.

This was also very key to his great empathy for Maximillian and Verakura's children. For some years, this would find his duty realised primarily as a surrogate father for their son Cassius and daughter Serenetie as well as a general manager of personal property. This would ultimately lead to their unconditional trust of him, in spite of Cassius' flagrant abuse of his authority of him as well.

But in reality, Leud has always simply been “my man”. He is whatever, whenever, Maximillian (and later, Cassius) wants him to be. And he will do it well and without complaining.

Tropes:
[Will be added later.]

One last NPC Profile. The RP thread goes up this evening.

Name: Maximilian vam Holt
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Takaran Elf
Age: 186 years
Appearance: At 6'3, Maximilian is tall, even by Takaran standards. Though he is as slim and graceful as any other elf, he has the characteristic Takaran way of moving: blunt and straightforward, as if he expected everyone else to move out of his way. This is, no doubt, helped by his sharp, handsome features (marred by a single small dueling scar on his left cheek) and piercing blue eyes, which peer out from under a full head of platinum blond hair, cropped close as an affectation retained from his military days. As an ambassador and a noble, he keeps himself well groomed and clean-shaven by force of habit alone.

Apparel: Max is the ambassador of a proud and militaristic power and definitely strives to look the part. His normal ambassadorial garb includes the wide-sleeved midnight black tunic of the Takaran Imperial Guard, trimmed in silver with the ornate epaulettes and collar tabs of a full Colonel. Under this is a red undertunic extending from a standing collar to the knees, embroidered with patterns of oak trees and falcons in a slightly darker red. Completeing the ensemble are a pair of black military-style trousers, tucked into a pair of hardened leather jackboots. Over this, Lord Maximilian is usually seen with a heavy dark grey Richshyr greatcoat, his pistols holstered around his belt and his Takaran Warblade "Mynschen" belted to his side.

Maximilian's pistols are mostly mundane, save for the dragonlock mechanism on each. Though made of bane-hardened steel, the two weapons perform no enchantments on the lead balls they fire. They are, however, finely made and tastefully silvered. His sword, Mynschen, or Moonmaid, is the ancestral sword of House Holt, once carried by Darian vam Holt, first Richsgraav of Holt. It is a sterotypical Takaran warblade, made from a combination of bane-hardened steel and banecrystal. Runes, acid-etched into the blade, crackle with eldritch power. Aside from supernatural sharpness, Moonmaid leaves faint black trails behind its blade as it is swung and amplifies its user's strength, allowing a mere child to cleave multi-tonne blocks of marble.

Social Station: High Nobility
Political Alignment: Dir Altrichs vam Takara, House Holt
Occupation: Imperial Senator, Takaran Ambassador to Takara
Weapons Proficiency: Takaran Warblade (Exceptional), Pistol (Very Good), Cavalry Lance (Very Good) Rifled Musket (Fair)
Titles: 6th Imperial Count of the Holt River, Senator for House Holt, Hereditary Lord Colonel of Sollenbrecht's Black Riders, Ambassador and Envoy Plenipotentiary of his Imperial Majesty Reskin II of House Paulus of the High Empire of Takara to the court of King Antonio IV of House Kuaronna of the Kingdom of Callindria.
Living Family: Cassius (Son, 31), Serenetie (Daughter, 24)

Personality: Maximilian vam Holt is, at his very core, a good man. His service in one of the Richshyr's oldest and most prestigious regiments has instilled in him a strict code of honour and morality which he would not even consider breaking. As heir to House Holt's long tradition of service, Maximilian believes that his only real purpose in life is to make sure that the Altrichs is a stronger, better place when he dies than it was when he was born. That being said, he often has unorthodox ways of achieving this goal. Maximilian is not a lapdog, he does not follow orders blindly and is likely to find a way to circumvent the spirit of a command that might, in his opinion, blemish the honour of his house and his country.

Despite this complete dedication to service and personal virtue, Maximilian vam Holt is a very lonely and melancholy man. His wife was his closest companion and her death left him quite broken as a person. His long service as a career military officer has left him without the courtly grace or charm of his fellow members of the Imperial Senate. Despite his best efforts, he has failed to truly connect with his children. Only his long time friend, the Aldkizern, offers any ability as a confidante. As a result, Maximilian hopes that the relatively minor post of Ambassador to Callindria will serve as a sort of healing retreat, to mend his broken heart and soul.

Biography: Maximilian was born into the illustrious House of Holt, in Northern Takara. Old nobility of the highest pedigree, the young elf inherited the command of the Imperial Guard, a collection of the most elite units in the Richshyr, upon his father's death. It was here that Maximilian became good friends with his future sovereign, Crown Prince Reskin. Over a century of service, Maximilian earned the respect of the men and women under his command, and became one of the most beloved Lord Colonels of the Guard in recent history. However, the tragic death of his wife, Lady Verakura (a Major in the Irunahalt Hussars) during a cavalry drill drove him to retire from military service to raise his young children. After more than a dozen years of semi-retirement, Maximilian returned to government service, this time as a diplomat. After a few inconsequential assignments, Richsgraav Maximilian has just been assigned to head the Takaran Embassy on Callindria as his first independent assignment.

Tropes:

"Those are brave men," he told Ser Balon in admiration. "Let's go kill them."
