Some of the elope brand hats were nice. I own at least one of most of the non novelty types of hats they sell. And a good number of the novelty types.

I know this sorta kills your joke taking it "seriously", but as an aside, the UK on average is a fair bit higher elevation than the US on average.

Also ironically, the desert area of the US you're thinking of is frequently among the higher elevations that exceed those on Britain. Of course that decreases as you get across Arizona and into California, what with the Grand Canyon and Death Valley, etc. The Colorado River basin in general. But the desert-y areas nearer the Rockies, well, they're near the Rockies. Not so low.

It's not affiliated with anything specific, as far as I know. I got it at Hastings and it was just packaged as sort of general steampunk jewelry.
