Comments: Its genre is listed as country, but it's not over-processed, pitch-fixed country that Nashville throws at us now. It's more raw than that, and while Kristin's voice gets a bit strident in a couple spots in some songs, overall the sound is very good. The songs vary greatly within the CD. Some use trumpet or violin, one is almost a capella, and a banjo makes an appearance a couple times. Some of them have a really old-timey feel to them, like "Pale Moon." My favorite is "Crayola Doesn't Make a Color for Your Eyes." The lyrics are probably the cutest I've heard in a long time. Other good ones are "Kiss Me Hello," "Jump Start My Heart," "Dancin' In My Sleep," "Heat," "(Just Another Song About) Molly Brown," and "Faith." Which, now that I look, is pretty much most of the album. In my opinion, there really are no bad songs on this CD. Definitely look up some of her things. It's worth it.
