Comments: Love is Dead is a odd album, in a good way. Artist Kerli shows exactly how wide of range she has as she weaves everything from pop to goth(and everything in between) to make amazing and original tunes. Walking on Air successfully mixes Gothic beats and upbeat lyrics to make a catchy almost pop sounding song. While other songs like Bullet Proof and the title track Love is Dead have a harder sound with deeper lyrics. Some of my favorites on the album are The Creationist which is a lighter song with a adorable piano hook and I Want Nothing. Some of the songs lyrics are not quiet as deep as others but fit perfectly in their place. Creepshow is one of these songs with most of the song consisting of the chorus but it works with the fast beat fueled feel of the song. Kerli has a wonderful voice and sings beautifully throughout the album. She always sounds comfortable no matter what genre she is working with, which not a lot of artist can do well. This album is a real gem and hopefully we will hear much more from Kerli in the upcoming years.
