Mercury Ice music review on The Red Hot Chili Peppers' album Stadium Arcadium.

Sound: 9
Lyrics: 9
Originality: 9
Overall: 9

Comments: Ah, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. What an amazing band. I was afraid this CD would show they've run out of originality, but I was gladly mistaken. There was only one song that sounded like it was taken from one of their old songs, and that was the riff in "SONG TITLE HERE," which sounded a bit akin to "Save the Population."

This CD is about love, but it's not done in the traditional, "How do I love thee?" style that gets old so fast. It's done Red Hot Chili Pepper style—through the use of metaphors and imagery that doesn't really resemble most love songs. Still, it's effective and nice to listen to. I thoroughly enjoyed tracks like "Dani California," "Snow ((Hey Oh))," "Animal Bar," and "Death of a Martian." ("Death of a Martian," strangely enough, is about the death of Flea's dog. That's just a bit of trivia for you.)

Overall? Worth your money, especially if you're an RHCP fan.
