I already noticed the entertainment place thing a ma jig. But like I'm talking about a whole forum for music.

Unless of course your members don't give as much of a crap about it as I do.

I assure you that we have members that care about music (I myself have over 35000 songs in my own collection), but there hasn't been a need to make it a separate forum to date.

However, I am willing to take other input about this.

That actually does seem like a good idea. Though I'm not too sure how well that'd go, since everything's already mixed into the Entertainment forum. Sub-forums, maybe?

I really dont see the need to subforum it. I don't think there is enough to do that with yet. I personally love music myself as well, but I just dont see the need for subforum, or a whole different section. I love certain books, TV shows and plays, but we don't need to sub all those either. I think generalization is good :)

True... It's usually the really large forums with massive communities that have everything divided and kept in order. Didn't come to my mind that Mercury isn't so big as to cause a confusion or something. xD

Hmmm, The thing with Generalization is that it's unorganized and I don't want to look around through a topic of TV shows, Animes, Books, and crap just to find music when I want to discuss music.

But I can't change everything so whatever.

At the moment we don't have enough activity in Entertainment Containment to make it worthwhile. Even though everything's mixed up, there aren't all that many threads. It wouldn't take long to find the music ones. Our active membership is pretty small and when you do create separate subforums for specific topics you tend to find you'll get several threads created at the start, and then it all goes quiet - like the adult forum. That was requested, and people generally thought it was a good idea, but no-one's posted in there for quite a while now.

If we get a lot of people all wanting to discuss music then it would be a good idea to have a special forum for it, but the current level of activity doesn't warrant it. We can discuss music in general in Entertainment Containment and music written by forum members in the Cafe.
