I would like to get myself a cheap and reliable MP3 player for around $100. I'm willing to go an extra $50 maybe, but I doubt I can go any further. Anyways I'm looking for around 30GB of space. If anyone could find anything for less than $150 that would rock.

I really couldn't tell you. You can try Overstock and Ebay and all of that, or just do a Google search. I don't really have much experience buying MP3 players, 'cause my dad bought all of mine.

Thanks a lot. I found a fairly cheap one at some site I can't remember at the moment. Anyways It'll cost me only $119. Which is decent enough for me.

You might want to check the veritas of that site... if the deal looks too good (I wouldn't know like Crystal, I haven't bought one) there might be something fishy.

Yeah, when a site looks fishy to me I usually look for certain symbols that say it's safe, and I found them.
Anyways I found the website it's located on: http://www.consumerdepot.com/products.asp?id=70PF169000001D&referer=google
I found it through google shop, so it should be safe, right?

I already told you my suggestion: Go with Creative Zen all the way!
Nothing else is worth it, since Creative is definitely the best value in my opinion.

I'm just hoping that it is legit enough to purchase from.

It's verified by Verisign, which is usually a good sign.

Yeah I would suggest a Creative Zen player. They are, by far, the best quality for the price.
Thanks,

I'm trying to find a nice refurbished one for around $110 maybe. I forgot to count my cash to see what I had left, and I only have $136. :(

I would recommend Ebay. From what I can tell, you can get a 30gb Ipod video for about $90-110. The reason you can get them cheaper is because a lot of people that sell Ipods there a) recognize that part of what people will pay for is to be able to brag about a 'New' Ipod, and second that people steal stuff and sell it on ebay all the time, and lower prices make them move fast.

I think I might just wait a while until I get some more cash. I should be getting a new job soon, and I'll see how that works out. :)

personally I prefer the Zune, but that's just me.

I could get a refurbished 30 GB Zune for like $99 from radioshack, but it keeps going out of stock. The thing about the Zune is that you need to use it's software to put music on, I'm not too sure if my computer is capable of running that program.

The same goes for an iPod, actually. You have to use iTunes to put music on there.

yeah, and with I-tunes, you have to import your music onto I-Tunes. I just found the interfacing, and quality better on the Zune.

As far as stock, what you can do a lot of times is call and ask exactly when they're getting a new order, and show up then. It's how I used to buy Pokemon cards before they sold out : )

If you don't need a lot of features (like huge amount of space, video playback) you can get a very good quality one from walmart or best buy. I have an Insignia that I got from best buy for about 50. It has 1gb internal memory. It doesn't play any videos or pictures, has a screen to show you mp3 information but that's it. It doesn't have any external memory slots but with 1gb, i can put enough music on there to last me quite awhile. I was going to go for the 150$ sandisk one that you can watch videos on but then I asked myself when would I really be watching videos on it.

Well I'm looking for a nice 30GB one. Video would of course be nice, but there's no guarantee I'll be using it much. But I found a nice cheap Creative Zen for around $120, so I might just grab that while I have the chance. The only thing I need is my $20 from my parents.

You could just go to a club, get drunk, and hope somebody drops one where you can find it...that's what my brother did. :p
