I am a huge fan of these games, (As you may have guessed from my username) and collect the games. An awesome combination of stealth, tactics and a griping storyline.

After a solid weekend of these games, I find myself moving through my workplace with increased agility and decreased sound. I look at people and wonder what they'll drop if I point a gun at their head. Also, I now have a strange fasination with sneaking up on people and scaring the crap out of them.

Anyone else here a fan?

Yes, the series has a great story and one of the best soundtracks released for a game.

The MGS series is awesome. I've played all 4 games, the first 3 at least twice, and they never get old. MGS4 was epic, and just playing through it made me go back and play the other 3 games again, but even still I wouldn't mind replaying them after I finish a few other games I'm working on. MGS is one of my favorite series, and although I doubt there will ever be another game like the first 4, I hope the series still continues despite Kojima not wanting to be involved, and the fact that another game wouldn't star Snake.

All 4?

There is way more than 4 games...
Just off the top of my head:

Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2
Metal Gear: Snake's Revenge
Metal Gear (solid?): Ghost Babel
Metal Gear Acid
Metal Gear Acid (Phone version)
Metal Gear Acid2
Metal Gear Portable Ops
Metal Gear Portable Ops +
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
Metal Gear Online (PS2 Version included in Subsistence)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Online (PS3 Version included in Guns of the Patriots)

And in MGS4 there is a cutscene that shows a list of titles, but there are two empty slots labeled under construction, which raises the possibility of two more games. Yet I would like to point out that it was a list scrolling down, and the last game stopped in the centre of the screen, meaning that it could just mean that the two extra slots are just to fill in the space, or, since there is no more room on the screen for more than 5 entries to be displayed at once, there could be more than two more games on the way.

But MGS4 wrapped up the whole storyline beautifully, and everything now makes sense. So I don't think that another game would be needed. Not to say that I don't want any more, just as long as they don't kill the masterpiece that that have created.

When I say "all 4" I meant all 4 Metal Gear Solid games, since there's only 4 that are actually numbered. The Twin Snakes, Substance, and Subsistence don't really count as different games, although I forgot about Portable Ops, since that does have "Solid" in the title, I think. I wasn't referring to Ac!d or the first two MG games or any of those others.

Oh but Susbstance includes things like Snake Tales, A skateboarding gaming, and the VR missions. I also forgot to add the VR missions disc for MGS1.
Much quicker to refer to all those bonus games as a collective by adding Substance there.
