What did you do today?

This weekend is the Leamington Spa annual peace festival. You get all sorts of interesting organisations and traders setting up stalls. Anne would probably love it; Henry would probably hate it. :p

Mac and I spent the morning helping on the Churches Together in Leamington stall. For me that involved an hour of assisting with putting up the stall, and 3 hours of filling and handing out balloons. Actually, it was surprisingly enjoyable.

Today, let me think... woke up at 9am, raided my landlords fridge and talked to piggie, played on runescape then had a nap till 1pm when my best mate came round. Me and her got wasted, she went to see some people i hate so i can back home, chatted a bit, then went back out. Hung out with a couple of dossers i know, then went into my old school. Chatted to some random lass for a bit about her exams, then went to see a couple of mates. Played a bit of footy, talked about stuff, then came home and here i am, still wasted.

my exploits with Henry are already documented. fiddled around on the PC until about 9. ate cereal, slept. woke up. chased the new dog in the rain, cuz he's a fucker. got back on the PC, and ate dinner. am now back on here, preparing to play Bookworm.

I haven't had time to post in here since Saturday. Wanted to post about Sunday.

Since it was Father's Day we took Mac out for dinner in the evening. He had a TKD grading so we went to meet him in Kenilworth afterwards and then just wandered round the town to see what there was in the way of restaurants. We ended up in an Indian restaurant called Seetar, that had a guy playing the sitar. When we arrived he was playing traditional Indian music, but then he started wandering round the tables, taking requests. It was really funny hearing things like old Beatles and Abba songs being played on the sitar. :p

Today was a much more mundane day. Work till 2pm, then a kung fu progress review with my instructor, then over to the college to get a skin test done prior to having my hair coloured on Thursday. (Getting it done by the students is a fraction of the price of getting it done at the hairdresser's). After that, watched a bit of anime, went to my Japanese class, and came home to find a message telling me I'd forgotten a leg waxing appointment. What an exciting life! :p

Volunteered at an art camp for 6 to 9 year olds. It mainly consisted in running up and down 3 flights of stairs for 4 hours (icky) and talking to kids (yay!). Contrary to popular belief, I get along quite well with children WITHOUT CORRUPTING THEM. Then I headed over to the Library, talked to BYU before USAMRIID, Lord of the Raccoons, and another friend came. Played chess, poker, gin, go fish, and farkle, then helped create a mandala.
Made $3 by answering the question about who sang the song Sandman. Duh, America.
Used the money to buy a chocolate bar and coke for a late lunch. Went to the farmer market, bought a chocolate raspberry poundcake and stuff for a salad. Then I came home.

I finished up my math course. And packed.

Interesting day today.. woke up i dunno when because they wont let you take phones into the cells. Read the same newspaper (the sun) over and over again (with much pausing on page 3), got let out about midday, walked back home, fell into bed and slept.. woke up, went to visit my godson, then came home and came on here.

Today I went to the Dentist with my mom, bowling alley to get a new bowling ball and shoes, went to Walmart, went to gamestop and got to games, came home for an hour, went to the library and volunteered for 2 hours, came home for an hour and a half, went to the library again for a TAB event, went to Brusters, came home.

Drove a couple of neighbours' boys to school (3 of us share the school run, but my sons have now finished their exams and don't need to go in) then spent the rest of the morning at the college having highlights put in my hair. Went and did the weekly shopping, had a very late lunch, then went out to my re-scheduled leg waxing appointment. Checked my email, looked in here, prepared dinner, drove my son to his fencing class. Came back here.

Went with bratty cousin to volunteer at her art camp. Got a bit angry with her and said some stuff that may or may not get me in trouble with my aunt (who is a VERY nice enabler). Went to the library and played a very pitiful game of chess with myself. Went to the optometrist to pick up my mom's glasses but they were closed for lunch. Then I went to the coffee shop where they gave me the wrong thing but I attempted to drink it anyway. Came home, and now I'm playing on the computer and packing for vacation while making sure the puppy doesn't do anything stupid.
