Right folks, there's been many changes since CryssyChu stepped down from the RP Mod position, most of which have been summed up in the RP Area Revamp Announcement Thread and the RP Area Pinned Topics. Changes include new formats and approval guidelines for the Character Profiles, the moving of the Out of Character board for convenience, and the addition of a new mod: Zeth. Additionally, all Roleplayers will want to take note the emphasis being placed on plot, which an announcement was made about in the aforelinked thread.

Currently there are a couple RPs that are starting up in the effort to revive the RP Area. These include the Althea School RP titled Return to Life and a stand alone RP titled Deep Underground. Both are newly remodeled start ups of older RolePlays that didn't make the cut, but which are now showing considerable promise.

Althea School: Return to Life

An introductory RolePlay to a tentatively planned trilogy. Althea is a magically sealed off land that has been attempting to rejoin the rest of the world for centuries, and whose society centers around a school. The school breeds only the best and the brightest, in the hopes that one day, one Althean may break the magical seal placed on the land. Unknown to the Alteans though, there's a greater evil that has been sealed away with the rest of Althea, and it has its own plans for release.

Signups are currently closed, but there will be another round of signups for those interested once certain plot events have been fulfilled.

Deep Underground

A stand alone RP involving a utopic post-militarized Earth investigating its turbulent past. An archeological expedition has been divided into two teams and are investigating a cave system believed to hold clues relating to Earth's past, hoping to improve their new world that has evolved in the thousands of years since. It's a pretty cut and dry, financially strapped expedition, whose only hope is to shed light on what their world once was. But sometimes, the hauntings of the old world never truly vanish.
